PROTEST THE TWO AKAKA CLONES

On Tuesday, March 8, SENATE BILL 1 (SB1) and SENATE BILL 1520 (SB1520) are going to a full floor vote in the state Senate (called “third reading”). If they pass the Senate, they cross over to the House for its approval.

These bills are bad because they would submerge us further under the fake state.

The Committee of Hawaiian Nationals is calling all to ku’e in the spirit of our kupuna to kokua our nation with a display of resistance in two ways:

1. Call every senators’ office and tell them to VOTE NO on SB1 and SB1520. (see attached pdf for senators’ phone numbers...as a bonus, House members are listed also for future action)

2. Come to the fake State Capitol at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, March 8 to demonstrate against SB1 and SB1520. Then fill the gallery of the Senate chambers where they plan to hold their vote at 9:00 AM.

Itʻs critical that we have a significant showing -- larger the better -- to make these fake state lawmakers aware that they are treading on dangerous ground.

Even if the Senate passes these bills, our ku’e action will let the House of Representatives (where this bill is headed next) know that they are in for a fight in getting any Akaka bill clone passed.

Although American media coverage of the recent Christchurch earthquake has diminished, the suffering of those affected has not.

What can we do about it?

Six young Hokuleʻa crew members will embark on a humanitarian voyage to New Zealand within the week.

They will travel by jet instead of sailing canoe, but like an ocean voyage, they must be self-sufficient to cope with the difficulties in Christchurch.

Their expenses will total around $20,000.

Since many of them are students, they do not have the funds to finance this trip themselves.

Please help them bring some aloha to our Polynesian cousins who are suffering down under.

The Importance of Antiwar Mobilizations!

The importance of antiwar mobilizations could not be clearer. Each day the press reports new outrages perpetrated by the Pentagon in the Middle East and North Africa. The U.S. threat to intervene militarily in Libya is a dagger pointed at the heart of the heroic popular movements to overthrow the dictators and usher in the new societies imagined in Tahrir Square and other sites across North Africa. In Iraq, the U.S.-backed puppet government has been attacking protests for social services and human needs with incredible violence. At the same time, the protests in Wisconsin and other state capitals around budget cuts demonstrate that the audience for the demand to Bring the War Dollars Home is large and growing day by day. National U.S. antiwar marches are planned for the weekend of April 9-10. See www.UNACpeace.org

What about Hawaii & the Pacific region?

     Major U.S. military expansion is taking place in Hawaii. Guam is experiencing rapid military build up as a forward base in the western Pacific. Hawaii is the training ground for ongoing U.S. wars of aggression and empire building around the world. Even our sacred mountains --Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are coming under increasing pressures for helicopter assault training for mountainous regions in Afghanistan. Military training desecrates and contaminates sacred cultural sites. It further entrenches U.S. military occupation in Hawaii instead of ending U.S. occupation and restoring the Hawaii nation as justice demands.

     The bottom line is this. We do not want the U.S. training anywhere to do to others what the U.S. has already done to Hawaii: overthrow and occupy its independent government and nation, desecrate its sacred sites, and contaminate its air, water, people, plants an animals with military toxins.

    The U.S. military has confirmed it has used Depleted Uranium (DU) in Hawaii at Schofield Barracks on Oahu , the Pohakuloa training Area in the middle of Hawaii Island, and possibly other sites. Du is a chemically toxic and radioactive heavy metal with a half-life of 4.5 billion years. It emits radioactive alpha particles that can cause cancer, cell mutations, birth defects, and other possible health problems. Comprehensive, independent testing and monitoring needs to be done with citizen oversight to determine the full extent of radiation contamination. Federal funds should pay for this effort that needs to be transparent and have the confidence of the community. The military needs to clean up, not build up, then end its illegal occupation of the independent nation of Hawaii!

Hawai`i Senate About To Vote On Fake State Akaka Bills.

Now is the time for a display of strong resistance and outrage that your voice is being ignored.

WHAT YOU CAN DO -

* Call all Senators and tell them to vote no on SB1 and SB1520, the “First Nation,” tribal government schemes. If they pass out of the Senate, call each House member a tell them to vote NO. Find Their Phone Numbers HERE.
* Get your testimonies ready. Be ready to send your testimony in at a moment’s notice and then be there at the hearings to present them in person.
* Keep your testimony simple and to the point (see sample ‘talking points’ below). Now is not the time to preach or ‘educate.’ They are not listening. The legislators need only know that there is fierce opposition to these bills.

Below are the four strongest talking points for your testimony. Pick one or two or use all four. “I am opposed to SB1 and SB1520 because...”

1. The State of Hawai`i has no constitutional power to form a new “indigenous” “First Nation” government. Nothing in the State or Federal constitutions give the State of Hawa`ii the authority to form a new “nation” within the “state.” Thus, if passed, these new fake “nation” entities will be ruled unconstitutional by the courts.

2. This will plunge the state of Hawaii into chaos. It will be divisive and extremely disruptive pitting Hawaiians against each other; Hawaiians against non-Hawaiians; families against families. It would create conflicting jurisdictions between the “Native Hawaiian” tribal government, the State government and the US government.

3. The State of Hawai`i is in a terrible financial crisis. Making the people of Hawai`i pay an unspecified hundreds of millions of tax dollars to implement a rogue tribal governing entity is irresponsible, immoral and illegal. It would be far better use tax dollars to fund the critical needs of current services and infrastructure in Hawai`i.

4. The legislature hasn’t spent the time to carefully consider the ramifications. Prematurely rushing through SB1 and SB1520 with so many more pressing, critical matters, would be a serious waste of time. It would also violate the people’s right to participate in the democratic, decision-making process. Before passing something that would so drastically alter the State’s governing structure, the legislature needs to defer action; take at least a year to hear what the people in our communities have to say, carefully study all the factors and ramifications, then make a decision.

Educated Egyptians and Iranians both rallied together to overthrow a corrupt government. Does this mean educated Hawaiians will one day amass together and overthrow Hawai`i State?

Let us look at Kamehameha Schools and those Hawaiian immersion students who may research their cultural identity.

They will find the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian nation - a Hawaiian ethnic cleansing attempt made by the sugar plantations and other entities - issues with land belonging to their ancestors, backed up by a land commission award number and royal patent - land title insurance companies approving a clear title for land which obviously is not clear - and a local government that forces its people to live a law-abiding life, yet the government ignores the illegality of these title insurance companies - not to mention the government's own existence.

My name is Isaac Kawika Nahakuelua. I am an airborne infantryman combat veteran, and I do not want to see a civil war or revolution in Hawai`i. But as I watch world events, I think it's best for everyone to prepare for something "big" that may come.

Hereʻs a fast and very easy way to register your opposition to the Hawai`i fake state Akaka bills –

Go to capitol.hawaii.gov/emailtestimony and complete the online form and click OPPOSE.

After you click OPPOSE, cut and past the following comments in the "additional comments" box -

Statewide community hearing have not occurred in Hawaiian communities on this issue in over a decade. Community hearings must be conducted first, prior to the passage of any legislative act, pertaining to Federal Recognition for Hawaiians.
If this measure is passed, the State Legislature has circumvented the people of Hawaii and their right to a democratic process by not allowing them an opportunity to participate in the dialogue through community hearings. More importantly, their right to vote on recognition has been circumvented.
The State of Hawaii is in one of the worst financial crisis and the thought of diverting our tax dollars to support this legislation's implementation is unthinkable when the people of Hawaii (particularly Hawaiians) were not included in a community based dialogue.
Help the people of Hawaii by first funding education and programs that address homelessness and hunger with our tax dollars.

Please do this for both SB.1 and SB.1520.

The following document was found by Kiliwehi Kekumano. This document was delivered to the President in 1897 protesting the Annexation.

If you read what our Queen Liliuokalani actually wrote, this verifies that the entity State of Hawaii with the U.S. could not annex the Hawaiian Islands.

This document took years to find, and a fraudulent document sits in the Archives with doctored words.

No one wants the Hawaiian people/kanaka maoli/aboriginal Hawaiians/Hawaiian Nationals to have knowledge of these documents.

There are genocide laws that can be applied as well....Premeditation, duress, stress, usurpation, coercion, genocide lists documented in our records as well as the entity State of Hawaii/City and County -Honolulu Police Department, etc.

Aloha kakou,

If you have seen the new Fake State versions of Akakadized, you are missing a great circus. In the year 2000, the Hawaii U. S. Congress members came home to Hawaii to "Island-wide" Public Hearings on the proposed Akaka Bill but never left Oahu. The Bill then with all its professionalism was primitive compared to what is now at the Fake State 2011 Legislature. SB1, SB1520 and HB 1627 all are proposed Legislation at the current session. There may even be others. This is sometimes known as "miss the chicken, crack the duck" syndrome, basically what ever gets pass has the same effect.

These Bills may be slightly worded differently but they all mean the same. It is almost like voting for Statehood again, where no matter what version you choose, you were cooked. For example, lets take a look at HB1627. From its first page, Section 1, Chapter "First Nation Government" is incomplete where it only discloses what the United States did to make themselves look good and descent but fails to disclose what the United States did to make the Hawaiian Nation look bad and unworthy. The First Nation of Hawaii did not begin the day after the alleged overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom Nation January 17, 1893. The First Nation began with the consolidation of the Hawaiian Sandwich Islands by King Kamehameha the Great in 1809 but that is mute.

Section 2 of the proposed bill is Definitions, as used in this chapter: glosses-over of what is the definition of a Native Hawaiian. Existing Federal laws certify a Native Hawaiian is one with at least 50 % aboriginal (Kanaka Maoli) blood (koko) However, "First nation government" means the governing entity organized pursuant to this chapter by the qualified Native Hawaiian constituents, and "Native Hawaiian membership organization" means an organization that lists five activities. But the camel's backbreaker is the definition of "Qualified Native Hawaiian constituent, which means, prior to the recognition by the United States of the Native Hawaiian governing entity, an individual who satisfies the following criteria and who makes a written statement certifying that the individual "IS", not and/or, an individual that meets twenty (20) specific conditions which designate one being "qualified Native Hawaiian constituent or member of.

This is "Akakadized" All the bills say the same ting. They are a 'Ajinimoto" versions of the Akaka Initiative of 2000, aka the Akaka Tribe. But too late for there is already a Hawaiian Tribe that is in agreement with the Department of Indian Affairs known as the Hou Hawaiians back in the 1997. These bills are a conglomerate of ingredients that reads like a Chinese menu or a Pharmaceutical remedy for cancer. Yes, the Akaka Pill that will once and for all cure all Hawaiians ills.

But the final nail in the coffin is definition (4) "Is a citizen of the United States residing in the State of Hawaii or resides outside the State of Hawaii. This mandate coincides with the voting requirements in the formulation of the Republic of Hawaii in 1894 where voters where required to swear an oath of allegiance to the newly formed Republic and its Constitution before they could register to vote.

The original Akaka Bill could not muster Constitutionality, nor can any other form of legislation by the Fake State Hawaii Legislature. Above and beyond all, the Akaka Initiative and all forms of legislation and enactments concerning the the Hawaiian Nation of Ko Hawaii Pae Aina are based upon fraud that has perpetuated theft for 118 years.

Hawaiians have suffered since the first western contact in 1778.

Western diseases, to which they had no immunity, decimated their numbers.

At the time of western contact, some 800,000 people inhabited the Hawaiian Islands.

By 1805 that number had been halved.

By 1853 there were only 71,000 Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian people in the islands.

Within 100 years of western contact, the Hawaiian population had been reduced by nearly 90 percent.

According to the 2000 census, the numbers of people who claim some native Hawaiian ancestry have increased to over 400,000.

But only 239,000 live in Hawai`i and they are the poorest, most locked-up population in the state.

Although they only make up about 20 percent of the state's population, they make up 39 percent of the state's prison population, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

And they are 37 percent of the state's homeless population.

Ending The US Occupation & Restoring Independence To The Hawaiian Kingdom Is The Only Right To Correct These Wrongs.

The Hawai`i fake state Akaka bill, SB.1520 does not address the real issue of the theft of the Hawaiian nation and the injuries that stem from that.

It also has numerous inaccuracies, inconsistencies and plain mistakes making it impossible to imagine how this could seriously provide any remedy.

These flaws stem from a portrayal of history that leave out crucial information about who has title and jurisdiction.

The “findings” section of the bill leaves a gaping 27-year historical hole (from 1893-1920) apparently to avoid mentioning the illegal processes used by the United States to capture the Hawaiian Islands.

The “findings” jump from 1893 with the Hawaiian Kingdom operating as a fully recognized treaty nation, to the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920 where the term “Native Hawaiian” enters the legal lexicon defined as a person having 50% of more aboriginal blood. What happened in between?

It boils down to this - You cannot “cede” lands you do not own. You cannot transfer jurisdiction you do not have. Therefore, the “state of Hawai`i,” having no lawful lands or jurisdiction, cannot go forward with this Akaka-like, “Native Hawaiian (or First Nation) government Reorganization” scheme proposed by SB1520.

Even if the state of Hawai`i was lawful and it did possess “ceded” lands, it does not have the constitutional authority (either US or state) to carve off a section of itself and spin it off as an autonomous governing body.

No matter how you clone it, S.1520 is bad law.

DOES THE HAWAIIAN KINGDOM STILL EXIST?

Yes, the lawful, sovereign entity, the Hawaiian Kingdom, does still exist.

There are only two ways a nation can be extinguished - 1) Conquest - involving the military defeat and subjugation of its people, along with the physical seizure of its territory by the victor; or 2) Consent - the un-coerced, free-will choice of its people to surrender and merge their nation’s sovereignty to another.

Even the unconditional surrender of Japan and Germany after World War II, did not extinguish their sovereignty. They became occupied states but still retained their national identity. They were still Japan and Germany and the occupying forces administered and enforced the laws of Japan and Germany respectively.

Despite the incorporation of the Eastern European states into the Soviet Union after World War II did not extinguish their sovereignty. Despite complete domination by the USSR during the “cold war,” when the Soviet Union collapsed in the early 1990s states like Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Czechoslovakia, and so forth, reemerged as sovereign and independent countries in continuity.

In the case of Hawai`i, after the illegal seizure and annexation, the status of the Hawaiian people (referring to nationals, not aboriginals) remained inviolate.

Neither a vote or plebiscite was ever conducted to gain the consent of the Hawaiian people to dissolve their country, the Hawaiian Kingdom. At no time did the Hawaiian Kingdom or Hawaiian nationals surrender their sovereignty or consent to a merger with the US.

On the contrary, there was fiercely vociferous opposition to the initial seizure and both efforts at annexation, as evidenced by the massive petitions and the prodigious protests in the press.

The Hawaiian Kingdom continues to exist. It did not expire. It survives even having been buried alive for over a century under the layers of US deception and fraud.
