On Sunday, 20 January 2013, Kana'iolowalu festive event at the Iolani Palace, with wonderful entertainment and display booths, was attended by those for and against it. Those against it were refrained from participating onstage, thus did their version of Kaulana Na Pua near the bandstand without a sound system. The attraction besides what was presented was free lunch available to all who attended. The catch was one had to have an orange ticket which could only be gotten by registering at the Roll Commission tent. I went to McDonalds in town to buy my lunch rather than be bribed to sign up for Kana'iolowalu. I find that strategy disingenuous considering that OHA donated $100,000. to Pearl Harbor Memorial reconstruction fund with no strings attached. It seems like a typical strategy used by a U.S. agency to forward its agenda.

When the Hawaiian Kingdom deposited its Instrument of Accession with the United Nations Secretary-General on December 10, 2012 in New York City, the International Criminal Court (ICC) will possess jurisdiction over Hawaiian territory beginning on March 4, 2013. According to Article 126 of the Rome Statute, the ICC will have jurisdiction “on the first day of the month after the 60th day following the date of the deposit of the…instrument of…accession.”

Hawai`i nationals want and deserve freedom just as much as US citizens do.
Some say, “the illegal act of war that overthrew your Queen can’t be erased . . . like it or not, you’re all Americans now.”
Yet every day we see people around the world fighting for and winning back their national rights. Their quest like ours is totally legitimate and very real.
Like everyone else Hawai`i nationals want four basic things –
FREEDOM – The freedom to decide their own future for themselves. That “freedom” was taken away when the sovereign Nation of Hawai`i was taken over in 1893. It was taken away again by illegal annexation to the United States in 1898. And, it was taken away a third time by the fake statehood vote in 1959.
According to international law, a new vote must to be taken that offers three options – 1) Independence, or 2) Free-Association or 3) Integration (nation within a nation.)
RIGHTS – The rights of the independent nation of Hawai`i were never relinquished. The suppression and denial of these rights must cease.
Everyone who descends from citizens of the Hawaiian Kingdom prior to 1893, native Hawaiians and all others, are entitled to these rights.
IDENTITY – The political identity of Hawaiians must be acknowledged by the United States. Hawaiians will decide their own future, without interference by the US.
Only those with any measure of indigenous blood may define who is native Hawaiian. A blood quantum imposed by others is an unacceptable means to divide and conquer.
LAND BASE - Hawaiians love their country and lands just as much as US citizens love the US. Hawaiians want all their land back, not just some of it.
We Royalists see a lot more hope in Mahatma Gandhi than Martin Luther King, Jr. Both men gave their lives for Justice. One for national "Powers"; the other for civil "Rights".
Civil rights and human rights are of little interest to Hawaiians. Royalists focus on the Justice of a King in 'Iolani Palace with National Powers. Mahatma Gandhi saw the British Empire gone, replaced by Indian National Power. This is the Justice that is the major concern in Hawai'i.
Royalists are fortified in having a two- term President of the United States of America as a spokesperson for the Justice of the national "Powers" of a Monarch in 'Iolani Palace. Who do you Reform- ists have as your spokesman ??
Reform- ists, what argument do you have against Grover Cleveland to take the Hawaiians in a better direction ?? Who do you have to articulate your argument that Hawaiians had better abandon the Royalist position, kiss the Kingdom goodbye ?? Mahatma Gandhi appealed to Justice and won. The Justice of Power. Mahatma Gandhi avoided violence like Our Queen. The Justice of the future is NOT violent and bloody. Nuclear weapons are Not about Justice. Big navies are Not about Justice.
The Samoans regained their National Power WITHOUT violence. Against all odds, Justice is making headway ! The Hawaiian movement is NOT about "civil rights" !! Hawaiians have no need whatsoever for American civil "rights", according to President of the United States of America, Grover Cleveland (December 18, 1893).
The Royalists are putting their money on Tupua Tamasese Lealofi III and Mahatma Gandhi.

While unity sounds nice, it is not necessary or realistic to reclaim a nation.
After all, how unified is the United States?
In America’s two-party system, aren’t those two parties diametrically opposed over nearly every issue?
We need look no further than the current budget crisis in Washington, DC for the answer.
And what about the subdivisions of the many factions? Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Conservative Democrats, Liberal Democrats, Conservative Republicans, Liberal Republicans, Independents, Socialists, etc.
If unification is the ideal criteria, shouldn’t all these American factions be in unity or in agreement before the US makes any important decision or takes any action or conducts its operations?
Have you ever watched the US congress or the British parliament in session? Do they exemplify unity?
If you really think about it, democracy is the opposite of unity, while only dictatorships demand unity.
So why should Hawai`i have to conform to a standard that no other nation, not even the US, is required to uphold?
A Free Hawai`i is the unifying cause.
The various factions are already united in what matters most — a burning desire to see Hawai`i restored as an independent, sovereign nation.
