Don't ever forget the Ku'e Petitions of 1897

They keep omitting the Ku'e Petitions, the failure of annexation twice and ultimately without treaty used a resolution to commit an unlawful act. The Apology Bill reinforces the US culpability which it acknowledges. The only purpose of Hawaiian Homes was to place native Hawaiians on lands set aside for them by the US territory which they still failed to do; due to limited funds allotted to the comission to accomplish what was demanded. The Native Hawaiians should have had arable lands instead of just houselots. Only a limited portion of pastorial lands were allowed. No farming because not enough water was available. Even the produce were undercut by importing produce and selling it below standard market price that farmers couldn't sustain themselves. In the end what Hawaii needs is for the US to de-occupy their independent nation-state and screw the US indigenous crap. The Apology Bill according to a few senators is that the only logical consequence is total independence which is only logical and common sense. That should put an end to all the folly.Tane

OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS SPENDS HAWAIIAN BENEFICIARY MONEY ON LAVISH PARTIES FOR WASHINGTON LOBBYISTSOHA Spends Almost $40,000 On Author Of Akaka BillZell & Cox, the other lobbying firm hired by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to assist on the Akaka bill, was hired last year under a two-year contract for $150,000 a year.Zell & Cox have no other clients except OHA.A partner in the firm is attorney Patricia Zell, a former longtime staffer for the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and chief of staff for the committee when it was chaired by Hawai`i Sen. Daniel K. Inouye. It was Pat Zell who actually wrote the Akaka bill when she worked for Inouye.Zell retired from federal employment at the end of 2004 and went into business with her husband, Michael Cox, also a lawyer and a longtime Washington lobbyist. The partnership registered with the Senate as an OHA lobbyist in June 2005 and since then has registered no other clients, according to Senate records.OHA has had a close working relationship with Zell for years. In August 2004, OHA spent $37,000 of Hawaiian beneficiary money on a retirement party that honored Zell for "her steadfast support and work in advancing the well-being of Native Hawaiians" during 23 years of service at the Indian Affairs Committee. The retirement bash was held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and included presentation of some $1,000 in gifts, lei and commemorative photographs to Zell, records show.Tickets that OHA sold for the event brought in only $9,000.The party should have been much smaller in scale, because of course, most Hawaiians are still waiting for their "well-being" to show up (and homelessness is still a problem).__._,_.___

US Minister John Levitt Stevens Warped Morality

US Minister John Levitt Stevens Warped MoralitySeveral years ago, I wrote a series of articles after doing some in depth researchand critical thinking of questioning the various aspects tied to our issues that affect us.So, this is a continuity of the subjects related to them.As I have cited before, concerted effort to takeover the Hawaiian Kingdom manifested in1826 by the then US president John Quincy Adams. He coined the argument that the U.S. must have Hawai'i before another country takes it. By 1841, the efforts became moreconcentrated as we recognize the men involved in seeing to it that the Hawaiian Kingdomwould one day be theirs. The constant plotting had not ceased until after the 1959Statehood Organic Act when the USA felt it safe and untouchable. The likes of US President William Harrison was a known expansionist who was consideredshallow-minded. US President Tyler (1841 - 1845) was a strict constructionist and an avidpro-slavery slave owner who extended the Monroe Document to included the HawaiianIslands in 1842. It was he that initiated the annexation of Texas which ended with a JointResolution for statehood and setting precedent in the United States on international matters.Chester Arthur (1881 - 1885) as US President; although personally honest, he closed hiseyes to unethical practices, incompetency, and graft in his office. All the while the Secretaryof State, James Blaine, continued to sway influence over US Congress throughout severalpresidential administrations. Blaine ran against Cleveland but lost the election.Cleveland (1885 - 89 and 1893 -97) warned, "... on foreign affairs, conscience should alwaysbe the one dominant force." During this time, James Blaine was accused of being unethicalin conduct as Speaker of the House. Remember James Blaine; he is a major player alongwith Lorrin Thurston.Benjamin Harrison became US President in 1889 to 1893. He was the son of former USPresident, William Harrison and had a firm defence of American interests. He was apro-annexationist and the failure of annexing Hawaii to the United States really enragedhim. This was especially gripping since he approved of Blaine to enlist Thurston todestabilize the Hawaiian Kingdom and used US Minister Stevens to invade Hawaii to proclaimit for the "PGs" which formed the Republic of Hawaii.McKinley succeeded Grover Cleveland as US President in 1897. He was a staunchpro-annexationist as was US Miister John L. Stevens. Fortunately, but too late, he was shotand died on 14 September 1901. Poetic justice? Hawaiians thought so.As revealed, these covert and overt actions of the United States of America is long-standing.They didn't wake up one day and say, "Oh! Hawaii wants freedom and democracy by belongingto the United States of America; so let's do it." The fact is the Hawaii Nationals already haddemocracy and freedom as a Kingdom of Hawaii. Albeit the US Americans were the ones tryingto prevent that from us.There is no need to wonder what the intentions of the United States were and when. The BostonWASP missionaries were only doing their blind patriotic duty in carrying out the doctrines ofManifest Destiny and brought the WASP bible and the plow to set the wheels in motion while the U.S.military brought the rifle. This presents a clearer picture of why the USA invaded Iraq and other countries. He Hawaii au,Tane

Candy my Dear Friend

There is a place called praises at Makua Valley beach. I would go there in the mornings since 2006 with a dear friend of mine. Her name is Candy. Not a day go by that I miss her love. Her unconditional love like the song Fallen by Pana'ewa. That is why I play this song to honor her love and devotion. She would walk with me while I tell her my deepest feelings of life. Bulla, her dear friend was also in love with Candy. They use to run off together. while I would sit on the tail gate of my 1993 Dodge Dakota truck and wait for them.I saw the love they had for each other. Bulla's spirit was soaring high when Candy was with us. I asked Bulla if he loves Candy. He only smiled at me and I knew how much he loved her.I said Bulla, promise me to take good care of Candy for you two are made for each other. Bulla was in love. The love they had was beautiful to witness. They fought like any couple would, but in the end, she always had her way. She knew that because Bulla was so much in love with her.It rained hard in 2008 and Candy got very sick. She died, while we all watched her leave this earth.Bulla has never been the same ,since her death last year.He will never be the same, because his love for her is painful.Whenever I go to praises in Makua I think of Candy and my friend Bulla. That is why I call praises Candy's. So I will never forget her. When Bulla and I visit Candy's I see it in his eyes that her spirit lives on this land. As I watch Bulla walk the shores of Candy's alone, he is at peace with himself. For Bulla will always love Candy ,forever. Oh how he misses her love each day of his life .until he sees her again in the Kingdom of Heaven.Candy is Kawena's dog and Bulla is my daughter Michelle's dog.Thank you Candy and Bulla for your love.To Candy , I will always love you forever, Thank you dear for listening to my deepest feelings of life.I'm Fallen. In time I'll see you again, Oh in time I'll see you again.Love you alwaysUncle Bobby EbanezKeliiKanaka'ole-o-Haililani 2009Feb 7, 2009Candy, Uncle just posted your beautiful picture, so people can see you gurl......Bulla is sitting here looking at your picture on the floor....He misses you gurl and he wants to say he loves you very much....Good-bye my princess.....It is time for you to go to the Kingdom of Heaven....We'll see you at your favorite place at Makua Valley..Oh before I forget gurl....Happy Birthday!Love you AlwaysUncle Bobby Ebanez 2009__________________________Feb 13, 2009Candy, I'm taking Bulla tomorrow morning to your folks favorite place.....Happy Valentine gurl!Uncle Bobby

Aloha Family and Friends,For many years I have been involved with youth and community wellness. Advocating with the inspiration and guidance of my native host culture. I am writing to ask for your help in my journey to partake in an amazing national conference about clean energy and green jobs in which I was personally asked to share my knowledge and represent the state of Hawaii and its native peoples. The conference, Power Shift, will bring 10,000 young people together at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC between February 27 and March 2, 2008. Power Shift’s agenda includes a mixture of issue briefings from the nation’s leading scientists and policy experts, trainings on organizing and advocacy from some of the most successful practitioners, an “opportunities fair” featuring nationwide environmental employers, and built-in networking opportunities for attendees. More information on this historic conference can be found at www.PowerShift09.org.I have dedicated most of my life to the continuation, protection, and implication of my ancestor’s ancient wisdoms. From early in my high school years I vowed to up hold the ways of my people and this was enforced by my attendance at Kanu o Ka Aina NCPCS. Kanu opened both my eyes and many doors for me to walk in this world carrying the strength and wisdom of the ages. After graduating from Kanu o Ka Aina in 2004, I never stopped my push to fulfill my vow. My views grew as I learned and traveled. Having the opportunity to have met with many other indigenous people from around the world I have developed the skill of obtaining wisdom and knowledge from many different sources in so many ways and forms.I have now positioned myself back into my home town of Honoka’a on the Hamakua coast. It is here, in my home community that I continue my life’s work beginning with na keiki. (The children) I have been the Hawaiian studies teacher for Honoka’a Elem. School for three years now, as well as the Activates Specialist with the YWCA Hamakua Youth Center. Through these two programs I fulfill my cultural roll as opio, (older roll model) to the kamali’i. This also forms a strong connection between me and pretty much all of Honoka’a’s families.Much sacrifice has been made on behalf of me and my family to continue this work for the betterment of our communities. Having been part of numerous projects and literally thousands of hours of volunteer community service, giving freely and openly was the true way of my kupuna. A trait I intend to restore. So I am asking for your support in this journey, it is long and far from home. But the knowledge to be gained and message that I carry from Hawaii I feel will bring great waves of positive change for our islands. Your support helps insure an optimal learning exchange opportunity on this journey. This conference couldn’t have come at a better time. I am just about to begin through the YWCA Hamakua Youth Center, the Hamakua Jr. Forest team. We will be starting projects such as reforestation, specie preservation, ecosystem management, and Native species out planting in the Hamakua district. Upon returning from this conference we will be holding a community gathering to present our experiences and share of future plans and ideas to implement and initiate shifts toward healthy change for our community.I will also be joined by 2 other local youth from Hawaii to partake and share in this awesome opportunity.I will follow up with you by February 10, 2009 to inquire if you are able to support local youth advocating for lean energy and green jobs. If you are interested in making a donation or have questions, please feel free to contact me at (808) 938-9308 or by email at, lanakila_nyce@yahoo.com Thank you so much for your consideration of this proposal!Mahalo piha me ke aloha,Joshua Lanakila Mangauil

IS HELP REALLY ON THE WAY?Stolen Lands Moratorium Bill IntroducedA bill that calls for a moratorium on the sale and transfer of stolen Hawaiian Kingdom lands was introduced at the fake state Capitol. Members of native Hawaiian groups packed a room at the Capitol to listen to the Legislative Hawaiian Caucus talk about rights for their people. Native Hawaiian groups say these stolen lands should be protected for their people."No one is concerned, but we are very concerned with the disposition of our people and children from their land," said Mililani Trask, a native Hawaiian leader from Hilo."Time has come now for us to organize and move as Martin Luther King and Gandhi have."

Home and a picture

For my family and friends who like know:

Yes I will be coming Home soon. Don't know exactly when yet due to work but my younger brother asked me to please come home so that I can be an intermediary LMAO Even when my Hilo Grandma passed away who did they call to speak to her attorney for her? ME LMAO And I am NOT the eldest. I am the second youngest/third eldest... out of four.Yes it takes me about 15 hours... EACH WAY LMAO Tell me if that is not HILARIOUS LOLI have two Facebooks though. One is my NORMAL face LOL The other is my BUSINESS face where I flipped my pic 180 degrees for a reason! A ka ona is that the two worlds are diametrically opposed in some ways. For example, deals with land are diametrically opposed to everything and EVERYONE I value but I am in it in order to donate to what and to WHO I VALUE LOL Okay it amuses ME....Some of my friends and family have been adding my business one. Add my NORMAL FACE one LOLEven more amusing is that I like to be incognito. Always have. Why? Because I have always known about pilau and I no like pilau people talk to me LOL So I like to be INCOGNITO! Even then my twin sister asked me to address some things. I need to step that up a bit. So much work. So little time! How you like how I sometimes talk about oiwi in the THIRD PERSON when HELLOOOO I oiwi too???? LMAO My family and friends know why I do that and of course... dey LAUGH LOLWhich reminds me... I have been reading and continue to learn something new every day. I can't/won't go into details here though I can post that I still wish I had an OIWI mentor. It's not the same! In a way I think I am at a disadvantage because I don't have one but I don't let it bother me TOO much LOLAnyway hope I made Y'ALL laugh though!!!P.S. A picture of my kupuna whom I called KUPUNA LOL... Agnes Kelupaina Lum Kahoe from Kaupo, Maui:

She married Lum... then she married Kahoe. She passed away years ago. She was one of the oldest members of some Hawaiian civic clubs and societies like Hale O Na Ali'i, Aha Hui Ka'ahumanu, and many others.Of course I hesitate posting some pictures because of some lame stalkers who read my words then make any kine LOL... but this one is alright to post.FWIW she drank beer nearly every day, gardened regularly, and outlived both of her husbands and lived til she was 102 LOLLatahs!!

Laws of Occupation; how it deals with Hawai'i

Laws of Occupation[Hawaii nationals are considered protected persons under the laws of occupation.]There have long been customary laws of belligerent occupation as part of the laws of war which gave some protection to the population under the military occupation of a belligerent power. These were clarified and supplemented by the Hague Conventions of 1907. Specifically "Laws and Customs of War on Land" (Hague IV);October 18, 1907: "Section III Military Authority over the territory of the hostile State."[1]The first two articles of that section state:Art. 42.Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army. The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised.Art. 43.The authority of the legitimate power having in fact passed into the hands of the occupant, the latter shall take all the measures in his power to restore, and ensure, as far as possible, public order and safety, while respecting, unless absolutely prevented, the laws in force in the country. In 1949 these laws governing belligerent occupation of an enemy state's territory were further extended by the adoption of the Fourth Geneva Convention (GCIV). Much of GCIV is relevant to protected persons in occupied territories and Section III: Occupied territories is a specific section covering the issue.Article 6 restricts the length of time that most of GCIV applies:The present Convention shall apply from the outset of any conflict or occupation mentioned in Article 2.In the territory of Parties to the conflict, the application of the present Convention shall cease on the general close of military operations. In the case of occupied territory, the application of the present Convention shall cease one year after the general close of military operations; however, the Occupying Power shall be bound, for the duration of the occupation, to the extent that such Power exercises the functions of government in such territory, by the provisions of the following Articles of the present Convention: 1 to 12, 27, 29 to 34, 47, 49, 51, 52, 53, 59, 61 to 77, 143.GCIV emphasised an important change in international law. The United Nations Charter (June 26, 1945) had prohibited war of aggression (See articles 1.1, 2.3, 2.4) and GCIV Article 47, the first paragraph in Section III:Occupied territories, restricted the territorial gains which could be made through war by stating:Protected persons who are in occupied territory shall not be deprived, in any case or in any manner whatsoever, of the benefits of the present Convention by any change introduced, as the result of the occupation of a territory, into the institutions or government of the said territory, nor by any agreement concluded between the authorities of the occupied territories and the Occupying Power, nor by any annexation by the latter of the whole or part of the occupied territory.Article 48 prohibits the forced mass movement of people out of or into occupied state's territory:Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive. ... The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.Protocol I (1977): "Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, and relating to the Protection of Victims of International Armed Conflicts" has additional articles which cover military occupation but many countries including the U.S. are not signatory to this additional protocol. In the situation of a territorial cession as the result of war, the specification of a "receiving country" in the peace treaty merely means that the country in question is authorized by the international community to establish civil government in the territory. The military government of the principal occupying power will continue past the point in time when the peace treaty comes into force, until it is legally supplanted."Military government continues until legally supplanted" is the rule, as stated in Military Government and Martial Law, by William E. Birkhimer, 3rd edition 1914.

U.S. officials gave oraltestimony. Hawai'i is then taken off theNGO roll.- Statehood voting process is irregular and only one option given. With no international oversight andthe irregularities committed, the Statehood Act is null and void.- The Akaka Bill is an attempt to effectively steal Hawai'i once and for all by creating a faux governingentity to have Hawai'i nationals of kanaka maoli blood to give up their national rights while ignoringnon-kanaka maoli nationals. This attempt is for the tribal status of Hawaiian native Americans tonegotiate away the lands, resources, and territory.- U.S. belligerent occupation of 116+ years continues till today. The only recourse is for the U.S. tode-occupy the still existing Kingdom of Hawai'i. The U.S. still makes a mockery of justice, freedom, and honor.

Shark Aumakua and love of a woman

It was during the summer of 1969, that my class mate Jerry Belledo of Pahala. and I went with his sister Jane and her older boy friend to Kona.Uncle ,sorry I can;t remember your name so I'll call you Uncle, Okay.Uncle drove from Kona to Pahala one morning to pick us up and take us to a beach in Kona. The roads were not like today. It was winding, hilly and narrow. It is over 100 miles between Pahala and Kona.Uncle is pure Kanaka Maoli from Kona and braddah is one crazy driver....uncle floor the gas pedal..was good fun..like riding roller coaster for 100 miles....He knows the road good because he drives here everyday to see Jane in Pahala.. Brah that is love...Drive that far for his girl...Uncle you solid! We had to hike about a mile in to this secluded beach in Kona ,where get wild donkeys. The beach was white coarse coral sand mix with black sand. Jerry and I jumped in with our goggles and spear guns. The first thing we saw on the bottom were hundreds of fish bones. It was actually hundreds of baby shark bones. I remember grabbing all the jaws of these sharks...That was cool.. Jerry and I were just triping out.Uncle was swimming by himself while Jane was sun bathing on the beach the natural way...nah..she had bikini...shucks...sorry Jerry.Anyway,Uncle was about 50 yards out from Jerry and I swimming among a group of fishes. He made a circle around those fishes and swam towards us. Uncle swam like a fish from side to side and when he swam next to us I reached out to touch his back and it was like sand paper like a shark skin.We had to go back home to Pahala, so Uncle drove us on his rolller coaster back to Pahala and he hugged us and kiss Jane then drove home to Kona.Thank you Uncle for that one day trip to your beach in Kona.Oh I forgot to tell you that those fishes........Were sharks....ManoBobby E 2009

Over 96% of Hawaiian Citizens rejected the US attempted annexation back in 1897.They never wanted to become part of the US. Rather, they wanted their monarch reinstated and their country back.As for the fake state, it's null and void even according to the laws of the US constitution. To this day statehood and the illegal US occupation is repugnant to Hawaiian Kingdom laws and treaties.Only US citizens were allowed to vote for statehood or those declared by the US to be citizens, along with the US military. The US went through the motions of legitimizing what could not be lawful or legal.Today, with its phony Kau Inoa registration, the Office Of Hawaiian Affairs admits it is not establishing a nation at all but simply a tribal governing entity. They are trying to fool native Hawaiians into thinking a nation will be created for them.Instead they are trying to usurp legitimate Hawaiian Kingdom authority and jurisdiction to negotiate away forever the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Music video posted on Mana's maoliworld and on the Overdrive Live DVD Volume #4.Take some time to realize, did you everThink what you were told, it was a lie? What you need to do is stop, look and listen.Take a look around and see what you’ve been missing. Many others deal with struggles and strife,But only you can make the most of your life. It’s time for us to make a decisionIs the life you made the one that you envision?Know your enemy, so the saying goes,But what if your own greed and ego, make you your own foe?Or do you suppose, by keeping your eyes closed,That you’ll live free of guilt and no-one else will know?YO! A CROOKED POLITICIAN, NO!LET MY CHILDREN LEARN TO GROWAND SING THESE SONGS OF FREEDOM, YEA.YO! AKAKA BILL......

OK. 'Anake Namaka'eha asked me earlier if I could write a song about the Akaka bill and just how hewa it is. So... even though I've always known it was hewa and i read a little about it a while ago, I figured if I was going to write anything about it, I should read it and understand it. I just got done reading about it on wikipedia and a few other sites and I just can't believe just how hewa this thing is.... How the hell is this actually getting as far as it is? This is, and well should be, a HIGH priority for our people TO STOP. I need help fully understanding it and I am willing to bleed if need be to get the message out there that this AKAKA bill is HEWA. After I understand the whole bill you can be sure i'm going to email and call the people I voted for a few months ago and let them know my position. "Eh, Sharon Har, you remember me, you commented on my kalo patch in the kapolei homestead..... ".

WHAT DO HAWAIIAN NATIONALS WANT?

Here Is What They Say About Themselves, Their Countrymen And The United States - "The most common sense thing is for total independence. We were a progressive modern nation of our time and recognized as a friendly, neutral nation within the Family of Nations, the predecessor of the League of Nations and the United Nations. We had a democratic form of government, a constitutional monarchy with a bicameral legislative assembly. The works and legacies of our monarchs are legendary and noteworthy. Today under the American system, we are concerned about our lands, culture, people and lifestyle which has been under attack for over a hundred years. This gets us angry as more Hawaiians desire total independence as a result. The Kingdom of Hawai`i is not only Native Hawaiians but subjects of non-Hawaiian blood who were legitimate subjects of the Kingdom. This racial argument is an American thing and not a Hawaiian thing. So our concerns are well within our scope to protect all our subjects of the Kingdom. We do expect reparations and restitution from the US for the injurious damages to our nation, land and people. The US government is well aware of this and is attempting a piecemeal settlement. If the tables were turned around; which would you do? I'm sure it wouldn't be a hard decision. Remember, Hawaiians never hated Americans; but only those that did harm to us and the US government for its complicity and deceit. We were never afraid that another country would take us over; we had over twenty-four treaties with various countries but the US is the only country that broke their treaties with us." That should tell you something.

What an 'okolehau response from my haole brother in-law. "What are you looking for, recognition?" His argument is based on U.S. has made Hawaii part of the fifty states and thats it! You aint getting nothing back! U.S. took lands from the Native Indians too!My response: U.S. has been consistent in stealing lands. Nothing new! We know what to expect when they enter foreign soil - a hidden agenda! I didn't waste my breath and know that other kanaka maoli comes across a statement like this! It pist me off and when I pinpointed the faults of U.S. and the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiiann monarchy, ohh, quietness in the house. The accepted their behavior as pono and I sure want my nephew to learn about his Hawaiian culture from his father that supports U.S. occupation. I want to know what you think? Did this happen to you? What was your response?
