NO MILITARY BUILDUP IN THE MARIANA ISLANDS
<http://mpwarner.smugmug.com/Aerial/Aerial-Guam/2315538_Yx7uE><http://mpwarner.smugmug.com/Aerial/Aerial-Guam/2315538_Yx7uE>
WHEN: 9:30AM, Monday, February 22, 2010
WHERE: Main gate of the U.S. Pacific Command, Camp Smith,
Aiea, Oahu
On Monday, February 22, 2010, at the front gate of Pacific CommandHeadquarters at Camp Smith, 'Aiea, Oahu, a delegation from Guam and theNorthern Marianas, joined by students from Okinawa and members of theHawai'i community including American Friends Service Committee (AFSC)and DMZ Hawai'i / Aloha 'Aina, will deliver the message to the U.S.Pacific Command that the people of Guam and the Marianas Islands opposethe catastrophic military expansion in their islands.
University of Hawai'i student Kisha Borja-Kicho'cho', a coordinator for the local organization "Fight for Guahan," said, "Thegrassroots voices of our people are being ignored by the military, U.S.politicians and the mainstream media. So, we came to deliver a messagedirectly to the Commander of the U.S. military in the Pacific that we,the peoples of Guahan, the Northern Marianas, Okinawa and Hawai'ireject any further military build up in the Pacific. Our islands arenot weapons to be used in wars against other peoples and countries. Wedemand peace."
She said that the media has misrepresented the level of support for themilitary buildup by Guam residents: "The truth is that most do NOT wanttheir island's population to increase by 25% with 8,000 U.S. Marinesand 34,000 Marine families and contractors moving to Guam from Okinawa."
Borja-Kicho'cho' and other Guam citizens will place at the front gate of the Pacific Command dramatic photos of unique andpristine areas of Guam that will be seized and destroyed by live firetraining and other military activities should the U.S. militarybuild-up take place on Guam.
Dr. Hope A. Cristobal, who has testified before the United NationsSpecial Committee on Decolonization, commented: "The Department ofDefense plans to have 40% of Guam and become the largest landowner onan island where its citizens have no right to vote for President orCongress because it is an Unincorporated Territory-an occupied land andthe occupiers are taking more land." Dr. Cristobal is featured in thePBS documentary "The Insular Empire: America in the Mariana Islands,"which will have its Hawaii premier 4pm, Sunday, February 21, 2010 atthe Architecture Auditorium, University of Hawaii-Manoa.
Retired Colonel Ann Wright said, "Across the Pacific - in Okinawa, inGuam, in Hawai'i - people are saying 'NO' to military expansion in ourregion. We want Admiral Willard to hear this: No Means No. When youforce yourself on someone against their will, it's called rape. We wantAmerican's to push our government to stop this military expansion inthe Pacific."
The U.S. wants to move the controversial Futenma military base to apristine coral reef area of Okinawa and transfer some Marines fromOkinawa to Guam. Okinawans nearly unanimously oppose the relocation ofthe base within Okinawa. The new Japanese administration is alsoopposed to a base relocation within Okinawa and wants to renegotiate abase relocation agreement negotiated by the previous Japaneseadministration.
AFSC Hawai'i Program Director Kyle Kajihiro said, "We've been presentedwith false options. Removing bases and troops from Okinawa, does notrequire moving them to Guam or Hawai'i. The military can reduce itsoverall footprint in the Pacific. Clean up and give back the lands ithas taken from the peoples in Okinawa, Guam and Hawai'i."
President Obama will visit Guam in March on his trip to Indonesia andAustralia and will be given a petition from tens of thousands ofislanders telling the President they do not want more military in theMariana Islands.

That legislation, orchestrated by Robin Danner of the Council For Native Hawaiian Advancement among others, got the native peoples of Alaska to give up their land forever in exchange for shares in native corporations.
“I already know how this one turns out,” you may be thinking.
But what you may not know is the majority of Alaskan natives, who did get left out in the cold are now steamed - and they’re taking action.
Shades of things to come for Hawai`i under an Akaka bill? What kind of action are Alaskan natives taking? Find out and a whole lot more this coming Wednesday on Free Hawai`i TV.
Hawaiian Patriot Leon Siu is not one to take things sitting down. He went pro-active and, well, did sit down with those of the right wing to see if both sides could work together to defeat a common enemy – the Akaka bill.
What did he find out? See for yourself this week on Hawai`i’s award winning Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

Does anybody have any comment's they would like to share concerning the last couple of "video's" that Hawai'i TV uploaded on Maoliworld? Is there anthing that we did not address or bring up, either in our meeting's with OHA, the Senator's, or the House of Representative's? Please FEEL FREE to share your mana'o, so that when we continue our "kukakuka session's" the next time, we will make sure that we will address these concerns and questions to them. All of our future gathering's will continue to be recorded.
We are scheduled to meet with the OHA trustee's next? That should be interesting. We will continue to meet with all of the member's of the Legislative Hawaiian Caucus to? The purpose is to have them assist the Hawaiian National's side of the story, to redress our claims internationally, and to provide a curriculum that teaches our true legal and political history with the United States and the other Countries that we had treaties with. We have a great opportunity to keep all of them accountable. Everything that is discussed and said is being recorded, so you did hear OHA state and say that they would be willing to help us.
Please everyone, if you have some questions or concerns that you would like us to ask them, please leave and post your comments here. One more thing, if you want to be in on these recorded meetings and kukakuka sessions in the future, please leave or post your comments here as well. Mahalo Nui to you all, Maoliworld!!!

My nephew Kekaimalu recently earned a PERFECT score on the Talented and Gifted (TAG) Test which is WONDERFUL news because Hawaiian keiki are our future. Yay!
I don't post that to brag. It shows that Hawaiian children ARE capable despite the assholes in the world. Yes! I like it when Hawaiian children succeed irrelevant of subject and/or modality and/or location.
My nephew Kekaimalu got a PERFECT score and he is HAWAIIAN LOL CAN YOU DIG IT?!?!?!
This is when he was three years old:
As for my niece Mahinaokalani she is in a top high school for brainy kids as part of the Talented and Gifted (TAG) program. She is THE highest scoring kindergardener throughout the HISTORY of Virginia for a standardized test for all kindergardeners. In her brainy high school she is now fourth out of 462 students with a 4.2 GPA and she is HAWAIIAN. SO CAPABLE! ALL Hawaiian children are capable. It all starts with a belief. A thought. That YES they CAN.
That is why I say... don't let the assholes get you down!!! And there are alot of assholes in Hawai'i LOL
My theory is that some people do not believe in the abilities of Hawaiian children. They assume that they CAN'T do it. I PRESUME that they can and have spoken to my nieces and nephew about VERY complex topics. I NEVER insult their intelligence unlike some people tsktsk
Sheesh. SO MANY HYPOCRITS. SO MANY DOWNERS. TRYING FO' KEEP DA HAWAIIAN DOWN.
BTW this INCLUDES some Hawaiians. Oh my gosh. Some are SUCH assholes. They reflect who they are. That is... self-righteous hypocritical assholes. Pilau I tell you LOL Like Ken Conklin and Uncle Tom McAuliffe... except the HAWAIIAN versions of them LOL Pilau just like them. Yikes.
It's people like my nephew Kekaimalu who make me SO PROUD to BE Hawaiian. Woo! And he is only what... five years old LMAO
For the kids of Wakea, Papa, and Haloa. I do NOT mean the pilau adults LOL Despite the pricks in this world who think that they are the center of the universe or in some cases the center of HAWAI'I LOL...
YES YOU CAN. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW I'm gonna repost how to produce one's own Youtube videos again soon because WHEN Hawaiians are visible... SO ARE OUR KUPUNA.Anyway e malama pono.
Latahs!!!!

Several years ago, I researched how they thought and their concepts and who were the players in the Hawaii issues. Back then, I did it the hard way going to the library of Congress and search out these data. Accidentally, I discovered the things that would have shortened my research as the following will show. Back then, I didn't cite the sources; but here they are. I thought to share it with you to help better understand how and why things happened. They used the Bible, their plow, and their arms to accomplish their racist WASP Manifest Destiny doctrines spurred by the Papal Bulls instituted by the Christian, Roman Catholic Church to form their doctrines of expansionism, imperialism, and superiority as they believe was commanded by Divine Providence (God) which justifies their actions to now. This works hand in hand with their economic, military, and social agenda and goals for worldwide power.

Ahui ho, e malama pono. I`o lako.

For my family and friends who like KNOW:
Thanks to a few people including a former classmate at Kamehameha Schools who posted about this Youtube Channel at Facebook.
Five minutes of a native speaker from Ni'ihau posted by a young brilliant teacher at a Hawaiian immersion school in Hilo:
Her Youtube channel is awesome!!!
This was her first class:
The textbook is $5 through UH-Hilo http://www.olelo.hawaii.edu/khuok/hknke.php
Yes I follow her. My personal Youtube is koumanao as in ko'u mana'o. How original LOL I've had the account since August 17, 2006 and so far I only have one video so far discussing setbacks. Later when I am pau with my project called Hawai'i Five-O I may post more videos. This may take five years LOL
So far I only post videos for my work because that is how I try to help some less fortunate Hawaiians in some way instead. I also maintain uka million blogs and post with long tail keywords for excellent search engine optimization because WHEN Hawaiians are visible so are our kupuna. I no do it for people who think it's for them. I do it for my kupuna as in those who took care of me, fed me, and helped to raise me when I had nothing and nowhere else to go. I no do it for the egocentric people who think it is for them or ABOUT them LOL
Some people are so pilau though LOL
Anyway work calls!
Latahs!
If there is one thing we all can agree upon, whether you are a "Hawaiian National" or if you are someone that claims to be a "Native Hawaiian," is we all wholeheartedly believe that we all should be "Ruled by Law." But the next step or phase that we take, whether as a "Hawaiian National," or a "Native Hawaiian" is where conflict, division, and disagreements take place. Even though we all agree to be "Ruled by Law," this is where we all need to see why there is a huge gap between the "Hawaiian Nationals," and the "Native Hawaiians," even though we all agree to be "Ruled by Law."
The "Hawaiian Nationals" "Rule of Law" that they depend and rely on is one that makes them one with one another and one with nature that is all around us. That "Rule of Law" stems from the "Law of Nations." The "Native Hawaiian's" "Rule of Law" that they depend and rely on is one that is dictated by a department of a corporation that is almost 5,000 miles away from Hawai'i called the "Department of Interior." The "Department of Interior" is a department located in Washigton D.C. that is founded on doctrines that support "White Supremacy" and one that you have to negotiate with and ultimately have them tell you what you can and can not do, think, and be.
With that being said, can all of you leave a post stating if you are a "Hawaiian National," or a "Native Hawaiian?" After we get as many people from Maoliworld participating in this poll, the next discussion we will have is to share why you chose to be a "Hawaiian National," or a "Native Hawaiian?" Mahalo Nui to all of you on Maoliworld!!!

Honoring Kūpuna Reveals the Annexation Lie
McKinley High School Statue in Error
Honolulu, Hawaii – The Hawaiian Independence Action Alliance (HIAA), consisting of more than ten different Hawaiian groups, will present a “Circle of Witnesses” depiction at 12:00 noon on President’s Day (Feb.
15) at the William McKinley statue in front of McKinley High School.
Feb. 23, 2010 marks the 99th anniversary of the dedication of the statue of William Mckinley on the grounds of the present day McKinley High School. This statue holds in its hand the
so-called Treaty of Annexation annexing Hawaii to the United States.
In 1897, more than 39,000 signatures were collected on two separate petitions reflecting the will of the citizenry of the Hawaiian Kingdom, both native and non-native citizenry, in
opposition to the annexation of Hawaii to the United States. Those petitions were sent to congress
and, as a result, the treaty of annexation being considered in the senate was
defeated. There is no such thing as
a “treaty of annexation” that pertains to Hawaii, despite attempts to rewrite
history. Instead, in 1898 the
United States resorted to the passage of a domestic law called the Newlands
Resolution to illegally annex Hawaii, and celebrated this illegality through the
perpetuation of lies embedded in an educational institution for the past 100+
years.
Over a century has passed, yet the lie continues. The efforts of our Hawaiian ancestors have not been fully appreciated nor recognized by most
people of Hawaii, including those of Hawaiian ancestry. In effect, our ancestors’ efforts have
been nearly forgotten.
On Monday, February 15, on a day set aside to honor American presidents, the Hawaiian Independence Action Alliance will stage a demonstration art project, the first of many, to call
attention to and honor our ancestors who protested the annexation of Hawaii to
the United States. The McKinley
statue, situated on McKinley High School grounds, will be enclosed by a Circle
of Witnesses, representatives of those who signed the ku`e petitions against
annexing Hawaii to the united states.
HIAA wishes to call attention to two significant issues:
1) Our ancestors ensured there was no treaty of annexation by signing petitions in opposition; those petitions were subsequently taken to the Washington DC and
introduced in the US Senate, effectively stopping the treaty from being
adopted
2) McKinley high school, which honors the U.S. president during that time period, continues to this day to teach a history that is incorrect. Public school students at McKinley,
throughout Hawaii and elsewhere deserve to be taught a true and accurate
history.
A press conference will be held at the McKinley statue at noon on Feb. 15. For more information, call Leon Siu at 488-4669.

BTW in the Haole World "If it's not in writing it does not exist" which is B.S. but it is a good thing to put THIS in writing which can be used to show at a later time that it is without your consent. Whenever dealing with real property... put it in writing that YOU DISAGREE with the sale of private property. This applies specifically to legal heirs of private property as well as patents which is another topic. Putting it in writing actually helps like how our kupuna did with the Ku'e Anti-Annexation Petition. Whoa they were smart to do so!
This does not solely affect members of civic clubs since not all title holders belong to Hawaiian civic clubs and there are some frauds who belong to civic clubs too but that is another topic. My paternal grandmother and my paternal great grandmother before her belongs to these societies with roots from Hana, Paia, and Kaupo!
Here it is. Fully explained below in more detail. Mahalo!

Aloha, to all Hawai'i TV fans. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS UPCOMING ACTION!!! This is a great opportunity to honor your kupuna who opposed and signed the ku'e petition in 1897 and 1898. We will be congregating at 10am at the Mckinley Statue on Monday, February 15th, 2010.
If you ive on Oahu and you have ancestral ties to the ku'e petion and the Kingdom of Hawai'i, YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST BE THERE. Please pass this on to every single family member, relative, and friends that you know and network with throughout all of the "social media platforms" that are out there, via the internet!!!
Despite some people focusing on what is bad with the world instead of focusing on what is GOOD in the world... great news about the Kaua'i/Ni'ihau Island Burial Council's decision.
My best friend is from Kauai and has Ni'ihau roots but looks very haole with fair skin and very light eyes and some people mistake him for being haole probably because they cannot see the iwi and he doesn't have a Hawaiian inoa and treat him worse than dirt. However LOL...
Iwi kupuna as well as living kupuna deserve dignity and respect. I am sure that others would not want someone to build on their loved ones' resting place.
The people on the Kaua'i/Ni'ihau Island Burial Council decided to reject Brescia's 16th draft of the burial treatment plan:
"After hearing nearly four hours of emotional testimony, the Kaua'i/Ni'ihau Island Burial Council on Thursday unanimously rejected the 16th draft of the burial treatment plan for Naue landowner Joseph Brescia's controversial single-family home."

"All Council members are appointed by the Governor of Hawai`i and confirmed by the Senate for a four year term. Expiration dates for council members are shown in parentheses following their names. No council member may serve more than two consecutive terms. All meetings by the council are open to the public. Any person may submit oral or written testimony to the council regarding a matter under consideration, provided that applicants first submit a written request to the department to be placed on the council meeting agenda."
As you can see ironically Governor Lingle appointed them and the Senate confirmed their appointments. Awesome!!!
They have not posted their minutes yet but their agenda can be seen here:

Kung Hee Fat Choy. Happy New Year!
Latahs!!!

The editors of the Maui News mischaracterized this letter to the editor in the title – clearly, the concerns expressed in the letter to the editor are not for the harms toHC&S, but to the taro farmers. Politics at play again.xxx

VIEWPOINT: Obsolete practices are hurting HC&S
By ED WENDT and LYN SCOTT
The analysis in the Jan. 30 editorial is shallow and wrong. The Maui News presumes "very goodjobs" would be lost unless sugar stays around so there can be a "transition to aviable operation, like alternative energy."What about the lost opportunity foralternative jobs and development?
For more than 100 years, Alexander & Baldwin has invested in diverting water from East Maui toCentral Maui to operate a sugar plantation, dewatering streams that fed avibrant Hawaiian culture and jobs of other kinds - taro farming, fishing andsubsistence gathering that put food on the family tables throughout East Maui. The diversions caused untold suffering to our families, who for many decadeswere no longer able to feed or support themselves. Of necessity, many abandonedancestral lands that could not be made productive. The foundations of ourculture, allegedly revered by the people of Hawaii, weredestroyed. Restoringstreams is but a small measure toward repair of inestimable damage thediversions have caused.
The people of Hawaii have enshrined - in the state constitution - protection and restorationof the Hawaiian culture when public agencies act. The law is squarely on theside of restoration. Why is it that an agribusiness corporation controlsresources that the people of this state - through protections in theirconstitution - have pledged to protect?
All along, Hawaiians have been asking for reasonable sharing. But with no more to guide itthan a corporate conscience, the A&B/East Maui Irrigation Co./HawaiianCommercial & Sugar triumvirate has refused and instead embarked uponwell-funded political, legal and public relations campaigns.HC&S is wastingmassive amounts of water that it diverts from 33,000 acres of public lands -much of it highly desirable lands prized and held by the monarchy as crownlands. It transports water miles from what was a verdant tropical rainforest inEast Maui to Central Maui.
Over the century, A&B has not properly repaired and upgraded an antiquated and leakyirrigation system. Because the rent charged is below market rate, it has nofinancial incentive to repair leaking ditches, siphons and structures that werefirst built to transport water a century ago. HC&S can afford to dump waterand not invest in upgrading its systems.
The water commission staff determined that HC&S water usage is excessive, exceedingreasonable use by 40 to 70 percent during a typical year. HC&S could easilyshare water with East Maui where the need isdesperate.
Na Moku Aupuni O Ko'olau Hui, the nonprofit organization whose membership includes East Mauifarmers of Keanae-Wailuanui and Honopou families seeking restoration, hasrepeatedly sought cooperation from A&B/EMI/HC&S over the years to noavail.
The Maui News' perspective is that HC&S is too big to fail because it controls 800 jobs.Youpatently disregard any notion of sustainability and other benefits therestoration of streams could bring to offset that loss.HC&S shipments of rawand refined sugar more than 5,000 miles to produce and market sugar is theantithesis of sustainability and food security - demanding oil from which Hawaiiis so desperately trying to free itself. These obsolete practices defy thefindings of the 2050 Sustainability Task Force as key to our state's survival inthe future.
This crisis for HC&S is neither new nor unforeseeable. HC&S is the last of a dozen majorsugar plantations to operate in Hawaii. It and its former competitors faced theharsh reality of the marketplace for decades. Even Gay & Robinson, its lastcompetitor, made the strategic switch to alternative fuel crops years ago.HC&S talks about a similar strategy now as if it just thought about itrecently. This procrastination reflects shortsighted management. Trying to hangon to its final year, in this context, is hardly something worthy of the praiseheaped upon it at this eleventh hour.
Let the water commission perform its constitutional duties. You do a disservice to your readersby confusing the issues, facts and reality staring HC&S in the face with anunbalanced editorial on such a major resource allocation issue forMaui.
