The United States claims it possesses the Hawaiian Islands.

But the facts show that at no time did lawful title to the Hawaiian Islands actually transfer from the Hawaiian Kingdom to the US either directly or indirectly.

The thieves who stole the Hawaiian Kingdom fenced it to the US, who has been claiming it as its own - the 50th US state.

The takeover of the Hawaiian Kingdom violated the Hawaiian Constitution, the US Constitution and the Law of Nations.

According to the governing principles embodied in those documents, the only lawful means to peacefully change a government is by the consent of the people.

There was no consent of the people for the 1893 takeover, nor for the 1893 Provisional Government for Hawai`i, nor for the 1894 formation of the Republic of Hawai`i, nor for the 1898 Annexation to the US, which was not even legitimate according to US law.

And finally, the 1959 vote conferring “statehood” to Hawai`i was based upon the previous illegitimate acts and did not conform to the criteria or procedures required by international law under the United Nations Charter.

The “statehood” plebiscite constituted fraud and thus, “the state of Hawai`i” is an unlawful entity - a fake state.

Dear Editor Hawai`i Tribune-Herald,

Tuesday, January 17, marked another anniversary of the events that precipitated the overthrow of the government of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Queen Liliuokalani, under duress, and for the life of her people and country, provisionally abdicated her throne to the intelligence and integrity of the president of the United States, Grover Cleveland.

Fact-finding proved her claim to the honor of herself and her people. Sadly, as you know, righteousness and right reason did not prevail.

I cannot take the attitude of acceptance of today’s status quo, for I know that I am not alone in the way I interpret Hawai`i's true place in the world. Many people, now learning the facts of the Queen's case are energized, too, by the Queen's motto, "Onipa`a," "Stand Firm."

I feel that "Onipa`a" also means to use our NI, the native intelligence that we are endowed with as human beings, to act as thoughtful warriors. The Queen was not advising us to stay vigilant only.

With that in mind, I move forward, away from the prevailing illusion of ineffectiveness of the Hawaiian cause, by aligning the recent Golden Globe award to the film "Descendants” (about a fictitious family on Kaua`i) with Hawai`i's real right to carry on as a country.

IIlusion, no. Alllusion, yes.

“Would that facts mattered, and that the descendants of the subjects of the historical Hawaiian Kingdom would receive today the Golden Globe award for the legitimacy of their country.

On this anniversary of the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom government, we must remember that a country once recognized on a par with the rest of the world’s member states, as was the Hawaiian Kingdom – can have its operative government removed without forfeiting its sovereignty.

Observe respectfully the Golden Globe of national integrity that belongs to Hawaii Nei, even today!"

There's no need to create a new government when a perfectly good and lawful one — the Hawaiian Kingdom — continues to exist.

Although it has been greatly impaired by unlawful suppression and layers of fraud, the sovereignty of the Hawaiian Kingdom was never lawfully extinguished.

Therefore, there is no justification to contrive a new government to replace the Hawaiian Kingdom unless the people, the lawful subjects/citizens, called Hawaiian Nationals, decide they want to alter or change their government.

No one other than Hawaiian Nationals can make that determination — not the US government or foreign US citizens residing in Hawai`i, or the fake State of Hawai`i, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, or the Akaka Bill’s proposed phony Native Hawaiian Governing Entity.

Because the Hawaiian Kingdom is in continuity, there is no lawful way to alter or replace that existing government except through the processes provided in the existing lawful constitution of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Prior to the Hawaiian Kingdom being taken over by insurgents during the illegal US invasion in 1893, Hawai`i had already been functioning for decades as a nation-state under one of the best constitutions in the world.

The United States’ prolonged occupation does not change the fact that the constitutional government of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the one in place from 1840 to 1893, is still the one and only lawful and indisputable government for the Hawaiian Islands.

The United States is a usurper, and has no lawful jurisdiction in Hawai`i.

Since the Hawaiian Kingdom was never extinguished, its constitution, laws, statutes and policies are still intact.

Aloha mai e Collete Machado, Robert Lindsey, Peter Apo, Oswald Stender, Rowena Akana, Haunani Apoliona, John Waihee and Donald Cataluna,

I noticed that the agenda for the next OHA Board of Trustees meeting does not include Kawaiaha`o Church.

When will the accounting for the one million dollar grant given to Kawaiaha`o be discussed at OHA's board meeting?

When will the church trustees be called to the OHA BOT to answer for all of the continued hewa that is happening at Kawaiaha`o?

Where is the accountability?

I have been showing up to testify at OHA board meetings for ONE YEAR and have been asking for your help since January of 2011.

I have been patient. I have the luxury of time. I continue to wait. I continue to ask.

Our iwi kupuna do not have that same luxury.

THEY NEED YOUR HELP NOW!

I thought this matter would have been taken up months ago by the OHA Board of Trustees when there might have been a chance to hold the church accountable for their actions and save the iwi kupuna from the MASSIVE desecration that is NOW taking place.

Let me remind all of you -

THE IWI KUPUNA ARE BEING DUG OUT OF THE GROUND AT KAWAIAHA'O CHURCH BY THE TRUCK LOAD. THIS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL EACH AND EVERY IWI KUPUNA IS DUG UP INCLUDING ANCIENT PRE-CONTACT, PRE-CHRISTIAN BURIALS, ALI'I BURIALS ALONG WITH EVERY CHURCH MEMBER AND OHANA BURIED IN THE SHADOW OF THE CHURCH.

I have kupuna buried at Kawaiaha'o.

I ask for your help on their behalf.

I ask for your help on behalf of each and every kupuna who is being sacrificed to build something the church cannot afford and which could have easily been re-designed and does NOT have to disturb any iwi kupuna.

Remember the number 369. As Kaleikoa Kaeo of Maui told each and every one of you at the OHA board meeting in February 2011

"If 369 is used as an estimate, this will be the LARGEST digging and desecration of kupuna since the desecration of over one thousand iwi kupuna at Honokahua was stopped almost 20 years ago."

This horrific wrongdoing, this hewa nui is happening on YOUR watch.

This is the legacy YOU will leave for your children, for all of OUR children for generations to come.

Let me remind each and every one of you. It is your kuleana as the leaders you have CHOSEN to be, to step up to the front line and stand up for our iwi kupuna everywhere.

This is especially true in this case because this hewa is happening 10 minutes away from your offices.

You can watch the desecration take place from the 15th floor in the comfort of your air conditioned offices.

Never forget the Office of Hawaiian Affairs blessed this hewa when you funded it with ONE MILLION DOLLARS of beneficiary money.

I will never forget.

NEVER forget these kupuna are beneficiaries of the OHA trust.

I will never forget.

Never forget our iwi kupuna are the foundation of our lahui. Without them, we are NOTHING.

I will never forget.

Take 10 minutes out of your busy day and walk over Kawaiaha'o Church.

Stand there and be a witness to what is happening over there.

I promise you.

Your eyes will see the horror.
Your ears will hear the horror.
Your noses will smell the horror.
Your `uhane will feel the horror of what is happening on these grounds every day of every week.

You will know in your gut, you will feel it in the deepest part of your na'au.

This is one of the most despicable acts anyone could commit on our kupuna.

Your continued silence condones these HORRIFIC acts of desecration and allows them to happen on your watch.

These kupuna are YOUR kuleana.

Stand up and say something.

Stand up and be present.

Stand up and make this right.

It is not too late.

It is never too late to do the right thing.

Once again, I ask all of you, I implore each and every one of you, I beg of you all - do something NOW to help protect our iwi kupuna at Kawaiaha'o.

Always remember and never forget, our iwi kupuna deserve much better than this.

Documentary Film “Hawaii A Voice For Sovereignty” Soon To Be Released

The illegal overthrow of Queen Lili`uokalani and the Hawaiian Kingdom government by US foreigners and the US military on January 16,1893 is being marked by a series of articles on Hawaiian sovereignty in two major publications - L.A. Progressive and Hollywood Progressive.

Publication of these articles is in conjunction with the release of the award winning documentary "Hawai`i - A Voice For Sovereignty."

Details regarding the screening and release of the documentary film will be announced by L.A. Progressive and Hollywood Progressive.

The first of a series of articles was posted yesterday, with an hour by hour history of the coup in January 1893 being posted today.

These archival articles were originally published in 1992 issues of Pacific Island Monthly and written by Ed Rampell, who lived in Hawai`i and reported on the sovereignty movement.

More stories on Hawaiian sovereignty will be added to the media each week until the screening and release of "Hawai`i - A Voice For Sovereignty," an award winning documentary spoken in the voices of the Native Hawaiian people and directed by Catherine Bauknight.

It is a continuation of the film series “Power to the People” co-presented by L.A. Progressive, Hollywood Progressive, Cinema Libre Studio and Ed Rampel.

The series of articles and film will further the awareness about a Free Hawai`i.

Sovereign Sunday will be observed on the grounds of `Iolani Palace tomorrow in downtown Honolulu starting at 9 AM.

The annual observance marks the illegal takeover of the Hawaiian Kingdom by the US and foreign sugar barons in 1893.

Everyone is invited to participate in this free public event, which will continue each day on the Palace grounds through the 17th, where the focus of discussion will be creating a pono or just future for a Free Hawai`i.

Sovereign Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012‏

Aloha kakou,

Sovereign Sunday is right around the corner—Sunday, Jan. 15 this year.  We’ll be laying out the ku`e name signs, probably beginning around 9 am.  Hank Fergustrom has the permit for use of the palace grounds, so is the one calling for kukakuka about the future.  I’m pretty sure others will be there to display documents and participate in the program.  No one has sent around a flyer, to my knowledge, so I don’t know what the agenda looks like.  However, we will be there with the signs.  We can use all the help we can get!  It’s a time-consuming and admirable work.  And the names really do want to be out there.  Please join us at the palace this Sunday.  I’ll get there with the signs before 9, but we should start to lay out the signs at 9 am.  Baron, please bring flags.  We’ll be in the same area as for the Queen’s birthday celebration, Diamond Head-makai quadrant.  Looking forward to seeing you all.

Hank Fergustrom will be spearheading a talk story at Iolani Palace grounds this Sunday, Jan. 15, beginning at 9 am.  All are invited to bring mana`o to share (and food, too).  We’ll also be laying out the ku`e name signs.  Yes, we could use help, so come and help us!  Please join us in remembering our history (why we even have an event like ‘sovereign Sunday’) and honoring our ancestors who signed the petition against annexation of Hawaii to the U.S.  It worked!  We weren’t annexed!

While unity sounds nice, it is not necessary or realistic to reclaim a nation.

After all, how unified is the United States?

In America’s two-party system, aren’t those two parties diametrically opposed over nearly every issue?

We need look no further than the current budget crisis in Washington, DC for the answer.

And what about the subdivisions of the many factions? Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Conservative Democrats, Liberal Democrats, Conservative Republicans, Liberal Republicans, Independents, Socialists, etc.

If unification is the ideal criteria, shouldn’t all these American factions be in unity or in agreement before the US makes any important decision or takes any action or conducts its operations?

Have you ever watched the US congress or the British parliament in session? Do they exemplify unity?

If you really think about it, democracy is the opposite of unity, while only dictatorships demand unity.

So why should Hawai`i have to conform to a standard that no other nation, not even the US, is required to uphold?

A Free Hawai`i is the unifying cause. The various factions are already united in what matters most — a burning desire to see Hawai`i restored as an independent, sovereign nation.
