I guess if your moko is about you then you really cannot offend anyone, its more about knowing what design means what for instance you would not get one on the chin like me because that is for women only...and there are some designs that represents a womens fertility etc so doing your homework on the meaning would be my first advice to you.
Mango Pare is the hammer head shark and symbolises tenasity endurance, not giving up etc etc..
I think you can find books on tatto , kowhaiwhai designs! good luck I hope I have been some help to you!

Yep all good to make new friends (e hoa) I thought that I accepted your invitation to be a friend probably pushed the wrong button! wow to pick up and live in another country that is awesome. I have been to Australia, United States and Hawaii but still wanted to come home to Aotearoa maybe now might be different will have to see.
