Your conviction is self truth, however, the homestead is a money making project for many people, why because we let them. So here is where I am--stand on your convictions cause when the sun goes down its only you and you out there. Not to waiver your cause for the Hawaiian Kingdom and all people of Hawaii as oppose to the 50% plus bloodquantum--this is all that we have at this time since the Akaka failed. We exist on the land in a mono culture and five generations per house hold long before the Native Americans did their reorganization, we exist as 'rehabilitation' on 200,000 acres on a waitlist and often times in our dreams. As for the diamond notion, I got it however, the real gems lays with our Na Kupuna for they are the shinning light through the prism of life.

I will defend this to the death. But, you are far more correct than I am to include all people as National citizens of Hawaii for they are the general public. And, my reason for holding onto the bloodquantum is because 80% of that 200,000 acres are in the hands of the 'general public' your Hawaiian Nationals. Do the inventory, Ehu, of land and lease one will see not native Hawaiians with 50% plus bloodquantum but the general public. The Hawaiian Nationals not only have the land they also drain our incomes and proceeds. One can even go so far as to say the destitute educational monies goes to the general public on the social security numbers of the native Hawaiian family-children. The grips are endless.
I intruded on a Nanakuli Homestead meeting last night and was dis/pleased with what I heard. To the death stuff, that's just my personal manao, on the otherhand, my early participation in the 70s was suppose to be interim not on going. I was obsolete by the mid 80s. Why, I keep my manao on my frontal brain--is because of the genocide. Today, I am experiencing what was said would happen, do I believe this to be true--definetly not!
Forgive me for the confusion, the Hawaiian Nationals must prevail. We never intended to form a nation for native Hawaiians only that was never ever any of our peoples intention or even thought off. What my Na Kupuna wanted was to include all citizens of Hawaii. However, the we imploded over time and in the processes of doing politics in Hawaii. It was the 'Broad Policy' that was overlayed onto the existing Hawaiian Nationals.
