mahalo frank for your comments. yeah it is hard to clean out the inside. when i am working with green gourds, after i carve the outside ill fill it with water for a few days and scrap and empty it to try and get the meat out before adding the mud. i think it helps some with the intensity of the coloring. lots of experimentation but thats what makes it fun. keep up the good work and yeah the cordage is a whole other issue!
wOW! THAT IS BEAUTIFUL, i JUST CLEANED MINE IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET ALL THE INSIDES OUT,LOL I WILL TRY TO COMPLETE MINE SOON ENOUGH BUT WILL HAVE TO WOOD BURN THE DESIGN SINCE THE IPU IS DRY ALREDY.MAHALO FOR SHARING THE CORDAGE IS ANOTHER CHALLENGE.GETING IT TO STAY KEEPS SLIING OFF.
