  • Aloha e Braddah,
I hope you go to the Aloha Festival in SF, so that you will meet people. Check out the local hula halau boothes and talk to the dancers. Thatʻs a good start. I gave you some suggestions a few days ago, so I hope they help.
Come to the Ka Lei Maile Aliʻi Hawaiian Civic Club performances in Berkeley too, Aug. 2 and 3.
    Malama pono,
    Amy

  • Aloha e Braddah Randy,
If you havenʻt contacted Kumu Hula Kawika Alfiche of the Aloha Pumehana O Polynesia Center in South San Francisco and Halau o Keikialiʻi, please get in touch with him. Heʻd be a terrific person for you to talk with. He also runs the Ka Leo Cafe in SF on Irving Street on the Avenues. The halau has a performance coming up too -- next weekend I think. Email him at kawikaalfiche@gmail.com.
    Good luck!
    Amy
  • I have this video too and I think it's just great. WBGH/PBS I trust to do their homework on history.
