    Oddly enough the answers are possibly partially supplied in the six comments below Kuhio Vogeler's article. The first commentator wrote in their very first sentence:
    "The central task, as I see it, is to win over the majority of non-ethnic Hawaiian LOCAL population of all ethnicities."
    This makes more sense than any analogy with Borodino.
