HAS THE US TAKEOVER OF HAWAI`I BEEN A SUCCESS?

HAS THE US TAKEOVER OF HAWAI`I BEEN A SUCCESS?

Hawaiians have suffered since the first western contact in 1778.

Western diseases, to which they had no immunity, decimated their numbers.

At the time of western contact, some 800,000 people inhabited the Hawaiian Islands.

By 1805 that number had been halved.

By 1853 there were only 71,000 Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian people in the islands.

Within 100 years of western contact, the Hawaiian population had been reduced by nearly 90 percent.

According to the 2000 census, the numbers of people who claim some native Hawaiian ancestry have increased to over 400,000.

But only 239,000 live in Hawai`i and they are the poorest, most locked-up population in the state.

Although they only make up about 20 percent of the state's population, they make up 39 percent of the state's prison population, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

And they are 37 percent of the state's homeless population.

Ending The US Occupation & Restoring Independence To The Hawaiian Kingdom Is The Only Right To Correct These Wrongs.

  • Support my bill. BILL OF THE STREETS...Protect the streets, Time to fight fire with fire i'm sick of seeing those few hundreds of people in the state capitol making rules and regulations on a island that they don't even own. On a prsonal note. Fuck the law, That's right time to rep for our nation. To the government reFNlax stop sendind cops out to issue tickets to any one intentionally, Give tickets to those that over exceed wrongful doing. Don't give people tickets to fatten your pockets by sitting on the freeway with a radar gun.Personal note to the islanders don't fear the law or anyone in a cop or military suit. They all humans they bleed just like us. Let em know they got no authority here the streets got your back. Vision a change and expect it. I'm down for the hawaiians. Let it be known were not terrorist and this is not a terrorist act. It's a simple righteous act. Excersise your spirit hawaii is full of magic. Free your mind.
  • ALOHA Kakou,
For those native Hawaiians who believe in the Blood Quatum law of the United States, yes they have allowed the United States to take over their lives.
For those Hawaiian National Royalist like myself, we are in the process of taking back our Kingdom nation and our lives from the Occupation of the United States. It is a slow process but we are moving forward every day with positive actions. Thou small actions, but they are strong and positive actions.
Hawaiian Nationals no longer will allow any American Laws to take over our lives, without a KUE.
We are Hawaiian Nationals and we know who we are and where we want to go.
Going Home to the Hawaiian Kingdom nation of Queen Liliuokalani for me has been a challenge in many ways. A challenge that I will continue to walk that path. Knowing that it is the path that my Kupuna wants me to walk.
This is why my involvement with the making of the KUE: Anti-Annexation, No Treaty of Annexation Signs are so Pono to me. These are the Kupuna who first stood up to the military and diplomatic forces of the United States protesting the annexation of Hawaii in 1897.
Queen Liliuokalani knew that someday her people would once more raise and take back their country. On January 17, 1993 I recounced my citizenship to the United States and went home to my county, the Hawaiian Kingdom nation of Queen Liliuokalani and my Na Kupuna.
Long Live The Hawaiian Kingdom, o Pomaikaiokalani, Hawaiian Kingdom National Royalist 1993

  • I say having compassion for native Hawaiians on DHHL (those that are 50% plus bloodquantum) is a start. The Akaka Bill locks down native Hawaiians into a developers schema. Developers win at their financial game and families are torn to shreds. Thus, a good number of leasess end up in poverty and spend the remaining years of their lives in poverty.

What the Akaka Bill does from my perspective is to bring on the military budget, loss of lands, and native Hawaiian lives. The sugar companies were to place 30% of their income and proceeds into the hands of the State's General Fund where as DHHL would receive their operating cost. Sugar companies are out of business thus no revenues. But this is a joke, because beneficiaries never as far as I know received the services that was needed before 1974 and worst yet after Steve Kuna's report for DHHL. Whereas this report had exposed all of the subleasing of lands by the General Public.

So what is happening now there is a change which we should see the state treating all of the 200,000 acres as General Leases. This means that we don't have to have a bloodquantum, be native Hawaiian and lands can be transfered over to fee simple--just as what we have being seen happening since 1974.

Papakolea was a case in point-but they got caught. Kalawaihine returned to DHHL because a few brave people stood the tide of hell. Gail Prejean a beautiful soul stood the mean-cruel hits from too many Na Kanaka and the corporate world. Eventhough he joined AIM, and tried his best--he died! he died in my opinion because too many Na Kanaka did not understand the history of the Organic Act, the Rehabilitation Act (DHHL) and how the governing entities of Hawaii received monies and never actually used it to the intended beneficiaries.

Until this situation is understood all of the above will not be fully understood. It's all talk!

Sadly, too many Hawaiians will die before their time on many fronts and there is not much that this one person (super ego) can do to change the minds of Independent Nationals and their objective-in my opinion is just as genocidal myopia as the Akaka Bill.
