I live in the now--not the past and not the future. Taking care of our families in an Hawaiian only communty is difficult and have never been anything different. Outsiders of the boundary of native Hawaiian only --citizens that were less than 50% plus bloodquantum or born in Hawaiimade it impossible to live a quality of life. But, we managed to care for five generations in one household --barely but we did it. Lack of access to colleges --we allowed the students and prof's to do the speaking. Our voices went into the toilet room, but we still found comfort within our own communities from each other.
Yesterday, I had a conversation with six Hawaiian Homesteaders (unplanned) and we all agreed to maintain the 50% plus bloodquantum. It was an assumption that this would continue to happen after the SB 1520 is signed. Non of us agreed to Neil signing this Bill!
