  • I believe OHA's act was premature, and clearly Economic and not Culturally motivated.
It is true that all things come with a price, as such, we must make sure that what we do on Maunakea does not come at too great a cost not only economically, but also environmentally, culturally and spiritually. When dealing with special places such as Maunakea, we must consider what is best for those living now, what would be the mana'o of those who have passed, and Ke Akua. As Kanaka Oiwi, we are tasked with the responsibility to malama the aina, this is especially true regarding Maunakea.
  • please get approval from the hawaiians first before doin any thing because i wont want all of us getting into a riot all at one time because we are not educated an informed on scientific bases and as long it will not hurt our aina such as bombs to makua then it will be good, to favor pono them we should never have all ese things in the first place if people just was happy what god gaveto us and not effect land and resourses, because we are so rich in land and in heritage alotof people demand for our help in all scientfic ways for military aspects i think it is not pono to use it and keep what you ahve itshould be shared and not taken way and asked and it is good by the people who vote not to have thisif this aint going to help any one to destroy sacred grounds that are of the familyslands that is in preservation so who ever owns sacred land in makua they should ber heard first to make the final desision
  • haunani apolina i am all for this you go gal its all about leaving it in gods hands , the only thing this is good to see any metorites or ant hing that is going distrat or destroy the aina as long it is to help the aina i am all for it.
