That was not the vision that Kamehameha Ekolu had when he set in place our Mahele and our Constitution. It was not his vision to see a Kanaka Maoli makuahine wait for 51 years to get a piece of land and THEN have only enough to pass on to ONE (1) child. How do you say "BULL SHIT!" in olelo?
Kamehameha Ekolu put into place for Kanaka Maoli the koe nae na kuleana o na Kanaka. We are not awarded the land, we are not their wards, although in the apology thingy they call us their wards.
There is palapala koe nae on Maui (mostly and we plan to do the whole island), Oahu (only 1 place), Hawaii (2 places), Molokai (1 place).
I'm already making plans to move to Ukumehame by end next year and I haven't even signed the koe nae palapala yet. I'm looking forward to having my own home and not renting anymore.
