kuu aloha ia oe e Rosie,
I'm getting my PhD at Brandeis University in Waltham Ma. I'm really enjoying Boston! I'm set to go back to New england for a dissertation writing fellowship next year. Where you at in Callie?
Aloha,
Noe
That is kinda spooky. I wonder whether the researcher wanted to study it further and was careless about transport and other containment issues. After studying pathogens, Iʻve realized that itʻs valuable research but you *must* take the proper precautions.
haha. iʻm glad you finished before me. i think my family was getting impatient already :)
Oh, bacterial pathogens has been in the news lately as it relates to the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. A researcher tried to bring an unknown "coral eating bacteria" to O'ahu but was caught. It would have devastating effects for fisheries in the main islands.
Thanks for keeping us in mind for your Christmas cards! I really appreciate it because in times like this, most people send e-cards or no cards at all. (Guilty there...we took pictures, but never did anything with them...) Does that make you feel like a grown-up? ;)

Luckily, KAHEA is watching the enforcement actions against the HIMB researcher.

When you come back, Mike can get a job for you with on Kaho'olawe. He's now the ED!
