  Iʻm not sure if youʻve had a chance to check out recent replies to discussions youʻve started, but I have been active in the last week posting direct challenges to your point of view. After checking out your page today and seeing that youʻre 95 years old, I felt that I should write you directly and apologize for any disrespect I have shown in my challenges to your mana`o. I know everyone deserves respect, but I think that kupuna, especially kupuna of your age, deserve an extra measure of respect, regardless of their views. I still stand by my mana`o, as far as its i`o, its content, but I apologize for my cutting tone.
  
  To be honest, I thought that maybe you were someone like Kenneth Konklin who was trying to infiltrate our discussions to further confuse our already confused population. When I saw that you were from Hawai`i Island and that you were 95 years old, I was humbled, even though I disagree with much of your mana`o.
  
  E kala mai iā`u for any disrespect Iʻve shown. I hope that you accept my friend invitation as I would consider it an honor to associate and share with a Kanaka Maoli whose been around for nearly a century.
