  • Thanx a bunch for your friendship...a hui hou...S. Kanaka'ole
  • Mahalo for the information on Kaiaka park and Kapukapukea heiau. Perhaps a call to gather at Kaiaka park to educate and reconnect with this wahi pana would help. I know I would go from town to Paʻalaʻa if a gathering was called. Hope your press conference goes well and keep us posted about efforts to protect the site. Kuʻe hoʻomau...

  • Hey Kawika, I got the message. I have it on approval mode, so it doesn't show until i approve the comment. Yeah, we won't start any of the workdays or clearing of the site without your input and involvement. I'll try to organize a meeting sometime soon so we can discuss next steps. Aloha.
  • Hey Kawika, Happy New Year to you to. I've been working on getting the funding over to UH for the fieldschool. We had to push it back a semester, so its going to start in Fall 09. We're also in the process of contracting to get the Banyan Trees removed from the foundation of Kupopolo this spring. We should all touch bases again soon and get some community work days going there. I haven't been able to go to the Loko Ea workdays, but when I stopped there a few months ago I was totally blown away at how cleared out the vegetation was. incredible. Hope things are going well for you. Keep in touch.
