jus got emailed this message:
DEMONSTRATION at the state CAPITOL on JULY 8, WEDNESDAY 11am

to oppose Govenor Lingle's move to veto bill HB 1552.

HB 1552:

* authorizes DLNR to issue long-term residential leases to Kahana residents
* establish planning councils to develop a park Master Plan
* establish a 2-year moritorium on evictions of Kahana valley residents

This is a call for people to once again stand in support of Kahana valley residents who have been fighting to stay on their aina and in their homes.

* TELL LINGLE NOT TO VETO THE BILL *

* SUPPORT LONG TERM LEASES / MASTER PLAN / 2 YR MORITORIUM ON EVICTIONS

Chief Tecumseh Brown Eagle of The Erie Indian Moundbuilders Tribal Nation today issued his Tribe's opposition to the proposed Akaka Bill now before the US Congress.
He said:
Native Hawaiians are not American Indians! To label Native Hawaiians as American Indians flies in the face of historical fact, truth, and the rule of law. It also undermines the inherent right of all to retain their national identity. If the national identity of Native Hawaiians can be wiped away with the stroke of a pen then all people everywhere may face the same fate.
For the United States of America to attempt to classify Native Hawaiians as Native American Indians undermines true Native American Indians as well as the United States Consitution that is promulgated upon the rule of law. This bill would continue the horrific history of the violation of its treaties by the US which the US Constitution unequivacably proclaims as the highest law of the land.
To enact the Akaka Bill would continue this abuse of the US Constitution and support the unconscionable illegal overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawai'i in 1893.
All people of sound conscious recognize the blessings of freedom bestowed upon us by The Great Spirit, and confirmed under the United States Consitution and must oppose the Akaka Bill. I urge everyone to contact their US Senator and oppose this legislation.

ALOHA Kakou, e Hawaii, After renoucing my citizenship to the United States on January 17, 1993, I have gone home to my country, my nation, my Hawaii, the Hawaiian Kingdom. My loyality as a Hawaiian Kingdom nationnal is to the Hawaiian Kingdom nation. "I protest against any and all acts done agasint my native country, the Hawaiian Kingdom and its constitutional sovereign, Queen Liliuokalani by the United States troops on January 17, 1893." "Now, to avoid any collision of arrrest from agents of the United States, and perhaps the loss of my life and freedom, I seek the full indepence of the Hawaiian Islands as a Independant Nation of the Free World." ALOHA Kakou, e Hawaii,
Every day that the United States continues to occupies Iraq, the Constitution of the United States is being violated. The same goes for Hawaii. As long as the United States continues to occupies Hawaii, the Constitution of the United States is being violated.
The whole American system is a FRAUD. United States is falling down as a nation. Taking her people down with her.
Go to the Courts for a day and sit down and listen and watch what is happening in Hawaii with it's Courts systems. Look at the people and notice who is there. It's not the Rich or Wealthy, it's the poor people who are there trying to survive the American Holocaust.
As I go before the State Courts, Hawaii is My Hitler Camp. As a Hawaiian National living in my country, my Freedom is being Denied.
All while under the American system, many people from all over the world are being brought to my country to perpetuate the American Empire that is HEWA. HE HAWAII AU, o Pomai
