The Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club began in 1959 by the old families of Kailua, Chartered in 1960, and also created the Kailua Hawaiian Canoe Club. Currently the Group has over 80 members plus, which continues to increase its members every month. We have a variety of individuals who are Hawaiian Cultural Practitioners, Kahus, Professors, Teachers, Educated Degrees, Professionals, Business Owners, Government Employees, Government Officials, and Community Concerned. Our Mission is to continue restoring, preserving, maintaining and malama our Ahupuaa, Ulupo Heiau, Lo'i Botanical Gardens, Kawainui Marsh, Hamakua Marsh, the two canals, Kailua Bay,and the surrounding areas of Kailua. We welcome everyone who are concerned with our Hawaiian Aina and Wai, the environment and our Community, our youth and families in need, our Cultural Traditions and Education, and particiapations and creativity of Community Concerned Events and Programs.
