Randy FermoEmail: randyfermo@yahoo.comWebsite: www.myspace.comImmediate ReleaseSeptember 3 2008Dear Friends ,I would like to invite you to our first Casting Session of the The Other Side of Paradise and Hungry Pinoy at Kaleo Café ( www.kaleocafe.com) on September 13 2008 at 4:30-5:30 – Interview with the Press , 5-7pm Casting Session and 7-10 pm will have Music .I would like to invite member of press for an interview between 4:30-5:30 at www.kaleocafe.com and talk about my relationship and personal experienced about the subject of the film .The Casting Session is for those people ( Hawaiians and former locals of Hawaii) who would like to share their stories about why they left Hawaii and whether there is a future for Hawaiians and locals in Hawaii with skyrocketing rents and increasing inflation now on 4.9 percent . The Casting Session is also for Filipinos and Filipino Americans , who would like to share their stories on poverty in Philippines . It was reported that there are 2.9 million Filipinos families experienced an involuntary hunger everyday and what is the impact for Filipino Americans families who send their saving to back to their families in Philippines .I wish to donate the proceed of my two projects for the homeless community in Hawaii and to adopt the Manila slum areas by providing them food , suitable shelters and second chance in life . Because of my religious and Filipino culture that I was brought up , I wish not put the blame of why they are poor but instead why they are not getting the help they needed. I remembered growing up in Philippines , the famous slogan that says, Isa para salahat, Lahat para sa isa. Intranslation, One for all, All for one. I also believe that extreme capitalism, materialism and individualism is not Filipino Culture , but a Compassionate “ Bario” Culture .I wish to bring unity to many Hawaiians and former locals of Hawaii in our film The Other of Paradise Documentary , because ….Hawaiian Unity is the only solution in Hawaii. I also wish to bring unity of Filipinos and Filipino Americans to our film Hungry Pinoy . Our film projects, does not discrimminate base on race, ethnic, socio economic , creed , age , orientation and political affiliation or ideology.I do believe that Film is the most powerful in providing awareness and humanitarian relief and it should not use for political purposes and propanganda .We need a lot of help and please join us to our journey to tell stories on human condition in Hawaii and Philippines because that is the only way they can get the help they needed . I don’t have silver and gold to give but my passion to share their life as much as I can .Salamat Po and Mahalo NuiBraddah Randy Fermo
