My husband stepfather Moniz, is family of Namahoe. His biological father is Mahi. If you have ohana from Kau side going come out we related......I think because no more ka'a that time plenty intermarriage.     Tom Pires is in his 60's and living on Oahu but travels to Maui alot. Probably your ohana.

    So your grandma from Ka'u by Hilea side? Coming from Hilo side to Naalehu where is Paukanu? Pass Punaluu and before the old Hutchinson sugar mill ?

    Anyway, I'm glad you have family in Ka'u and I hope it stays the same country so our younger generations can experience the old Hawaiian lifestyle.
