    Aloha Frank, Much Mahalo for the compliment. Yes, we can hold workshops for most of the Hula Kahiko instruments. Kewl, nice to know that tradition is still surviving. All of our Pahu are made using chisel and draw knife. The Calif. Palm must be like the Royal Palm, choke fibers.. Did you put in a false bottom for the ceptum?.. What kind of ili are you planning on using?. As for the cordage I never really thought of it,, Maybe, if or when you come home to Hawai'i, we can meet, then you can make your own cordage for the Pahu you are looking to complete. Also, when you get a chance please share with some pics of your work with the Ipu . Malama pono
