WHAT IS SAVE HAWAIIAN CULTURE, BURIALS, AND SACRED SITES MOVEMENT ?
Anyone who has picked up a local newspaper, or attended  a recent Ewa Oahu Community Association meeting (or other association meetings on  another Island) has either read, or heard about ongoing efforts to save our ancient Hawaiian culture, burials, and sacred sites (our history) from ruthless developers, individuals, and careless Federal, State and County regulators.
Many vocal recordings, testimony, and legal documents with exhibits, have been submitted to the Hawaii Courts in the Islands since the late 1900's, and as Mike Lee, an active Hawaiian cultural expert has said, "saving our ancient Hawaiian culture, burials, and sacred sites is very critical and timely because once they are destroyed, they are lost forever".  He is right, and Save Hawaiian Culture, Burials and Sacred Sites Movement cannot (must not) be, just another isolated cause for the people of Hawaii.
The Islands of Hawaii are not known for numerous nor large gatherings of people to protest anything. Instead, Hawaii is a beautiful, quiet and tranquil mecca for people to live, work and play in harmony. But however, as Lee points out again, "many developers and opportunists, with the Government officials looking the other way are recklessly and blatantly abusing the Hawaii land system, for their own gains - big time, and for decades.  Using giant bulldozers and machines, they have moved very fast and destroyed artifacts, burials, and sacred sites throughout all the Islands. All for greed, the so-called progress issue, and mighty dollar.
The core of Save Hawaiian Culture, Burials, and Sacred Sites Movement has stayed the same, and is designed to remove the influence of money in both business and politics. It empowers the residents of Hawaii to move in one direction, and prevent further land destruction and abuse. The residents must act, reach out, and learn more about many past and present injustices that are taking place throughout the Islands. They must see and realize, that there are laws that work to bring change and resolution to these social and economic unlawful happenings.
To prove a point, Save The Hawaiian Culture, Burials and Sacred Sites Movement  is very real, and highly sensitive for all who live, work, and play in the Islands The following documented statements, both of ongoing and current actions taken by Lee and others working with him, is presented as evidence. Residents of Hawaii who are interested in helping in this great cause, can contact Lee at email: KeaweaweulaoKalani3@hotmail.

  • Aloha Lee My name is Michelle Kawaihoola Manini, I support this great cause I live in Colorado for now but Hawaii is my home and always will be till the day I die and I will be returning in about 2 to 3 years to stay for good. I strongly feel that our Ohana has been done wrong for so long. I was born on Oahu 50 years ago and I feel that I have never left. I see all the wrong that has been done to our homeland and it angers me. I don't understand why they are determend to continually want to destroy the beauty of our land it just makes me sick. I send all my good wishes in your fight and wish I could be there in person to stand right next to you all, but I am disabled and money will not allow me or I would love to be there. Please do let me know what happens and my energy is with you and all that is behind this great cause. Hawaiian forever and always and highly proud of who I am.
