Attend The Hearing TodayThe Legislative Hawaiian Caucus will be holding a meeting today, Thursday, January 22, 4:00 PM -5:30 PM, at the Hawai`i State Capitol, Room 423, to discuss the stolen (ceded) lands issue.The caucus will likely take a position concerning the placement of a moratorium on the sales and transfer of the ceded lands.Guests include Mark Bennett, Hawai`i Attorney General; Sherry Broder, Hawaii Civil Attorney; and Micah Kane, Chair of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands.Everyone who can attend should to support the moratorium.
The Legislative Hawaiian Caucus that is being held on Thursday, January 22 is not a Public Hearing on the Ceded Lands Issue. Public Hearings will come later on with Moratorium on the Sales and Transfer of Ceded Lands. What really is needed also besides a Moratorium on the Ceded Lands is a Complete State Inventory of the Public Land Trust.
