For my family and friends who like KNOW
I wrote about this at my Facebook and of course most people whom I know voted for President Obama so before my family and friends get mad at me LOL let me explain. Despite some of the B.S. which makes its way through schools and the local B.S. media, Hawaiians whom I KNOW are some of THE most REASONABLE, kind, caring, and intelligent people I know. They represent everything good about us and WHO we are as well as where we come from. I do not care what ANYONE (except my kupuna of course) says. (Yes I am oiwi too.) It goes without saying that between the Hawaiian World and the Haole World... the Hawaiian World wins HANDS DOWN. If I had to choose between the two... I choose MAOLI WORLD LOL Seriously.
Read this description:
"Of the 50 states, Hawaii gave its native son, President Barack Obama, the highest approval ratings in 2009, with an average of nearly 71% approving of his overall job performance from January through December."

Don't focus on the 50 states part. I am not referring to that part. "Native Son" is the name of a novel by Richard Wright. It's a story of 20-year old Bigger Thomas, a popolo living in utter poverty. The story is a very powerful statement about racial inequality and social injustices so deep that it becomes nearly impossible to determine where societal expectations/conditioning end and free will begins.
Obama is NOT a Native Son. Obama has White Privilege.
Local braddahs who are dark skinned who work two, three, or four jobs ARE native sons. They face poverty as well as racism based on their dark skin. Obama has White Privilege. He attended Punahou which is currently about $17,300 per YEAR which is about how much some TRUE Native Sons in Hawai'i make GROSS per year:

It gets worse. MUCH WORSE.
Most of my family and friends voted for him. I don't blame them for hoping for change... but this is not change that *I* believe in:
"Largest-ever federal payroll to hit 2.15 million"
http://washingtontimes.com/news/2010/feb/02/burgeoning-federal-payroll-signals-return-of-big-g/
YOU are footing this bill. YOU are paying for it hello.
We need BEDDAH DEN DIS. (Yes I wrote that in pidgin LOL) We need LESS government... NOT more yo!
IMHO some local people are masochists. They thrive on pain which gives them some pleasure:
"gratification gained from pain, deprivation, degradation, etc., inflicted or imposed on oneself, either as a result of one's own actions or the actions of others, esp. the tendency to seek this form of gratification"
"the tendency to find pleasure in self-denial, submissiveness, etc."
IMHO we need to be honest and free ourselves. Although I do not have much hope in some adults I do have hope in the next generations.
I hope they can see through the B.S. and masochistic tendencies of some people. They have conditioned some to model their behavior.
We need to put an END to it.
Instead of rewarding LIES and/or being FAKE and/or stepping on other Hawaiians to get ahead IMHO we need to say ENOUGH ALREADY! Stop voting for those people who support the Akaka Bill because the Akaka Bill is going to end up KILLING YOU by killing your keiki and your mo'opunas' access to their land where "land" + water + food = LIFE.
NO MORE. NO MORE MASOCHISM!!! Then again I am FAR away from that so I do not have to SEE people hurt themselves which is sickening to watch. Very painful to watch when some people inflict pain on themselves. It is such harmful behavior and harmful to watch so in that I am glad that I do not have to see it with my own eyes because it is very painful for me to see.
Someone asked me how we can help these people stop hurting themselves. One person suggested that they read about Thomas Jefferson but some native sons NO MOA TIME TO READ because they too busy bussing their elemu in order to survive hello LOL Plus we do not have to turn to anyone to stop the pain. Certainly not Thomas Jefferson's words. People CHOOSE to inflict pain on themselves. That is the sad part. That there is free will. I am fortunate in that I don't have to SEE it day in and day out. However I hope that more people make that choice to stop themselves from hurting themselves.
Hint: Do not vote for the person who is about to slit your throat (Democrats.) Between slitting your throat and watching you die a slow and painful death (Democrats) OR having an arm or leg maimed and running you over (Republicans) the latter is small kine better.
At least you will still survive.
Of course if you are not American this B.S. does not apply to you.
E malama pono!!!!
