Aloha Pono!

The fight is still on! Bill 09-100 to prohibit genetically engineered taro will be heard TOMORROW, August 20th, by Maui County Council's Economics and Agriculture Committee. Taro farmers are asking for YOUR help to ensure that this important ordinance is passed. Please click here to tell Maui County Council Members that you care about the purity of all taro varieties in Hawaii.

Take Action Now!
You can make a difference just by clicking here and sending your testimony to the Maui County Council! Make your voice heard!
After you submit your testimony, please take just one more minute to call council members directly. We know that those opposed to natural taro -- like the big chemical corporations -- have been visiting council members, so it is important to make sure the voices for taro are heard loud and clear. So, please, pick up your phone and ask Maui Council Members to support Bill 09-100 and help protect taro from genetic modification.

One phone call and one email in support of these historic protections could make all the difference in the effort to save taro. Act today!
