From ancient times, Waimanalo has been a fishing village to many generations where its fishermen are held in high honor. So naturally when a part of the shoreline fell into disrepair becoming an eyesore the local elders sprang into action. When we met Kalani Kalima there, whose father headed the restoration, we were astounded at the transformation. Youʻll be just as amazed in our visit with Kalani as he explains why this area of windward O`ahu of breathtaking beauty has been so important for centuries and itʻs fishermen are respected with such esteem. - Watch It Here
