du-1.gifAloha Kakou,The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has confirmed that they will continue to accept public testimonies beyond October 13th on the Army's request to possess Depleted Uraniun at Schofield on the island of Oahu and at Pohakuloa on the island of Hawaii.Depleted uranium is by far the worst threat ever to Hawaii. It can never be cleaned up, and it will be here for BILLIONS OF YEARS poisoning our air, water, and aina!Although there is now no established deadline for public comments, there is a deadline to formally request a hearing. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted an extension to two well-known warriors for peace and the aina. They have until October 27, 2009 to make their formal request for a hearing but they have no legal counsel and no means of hiring legal counsel. They need our help! While the Nuclear Regulatory Commission carries out this process to consider the Army's request, live-fire training continues at Pohakuloa which can "aerosolized" Depleted Uranium causing it to become airborne. Once aerosolized the Depleted Uranium poison can drift for miles and miles, and it may be coming soon to a neighborhood near you! Please click here or copy this address into your browser for more information: http://newpacificvoice.com I apologize in advance for the unfinished appearance of our website but this kahea (shout out) has to go out now while we still have time...Please share this with everyone you know. I sent out an alert a few days ago but most of my address book is now out of date and the majority were undeliverable. Too few know about this and everyone needs to know about it.Mahalo nui loa!Isaac Harp/PakaMoku O Keawe STOPWAR.gif

  • Aloha my dear,

I have been doing everything I can to convince John Hayes that they need to come back to Waianae and give the community the chance to speak on their behalf about not only the continued use of arsenal with depleted uranium but the clean up process of Tad Daves five year sustainable plan for Schofield. He said, that the inside of the fence of the military base such as Schofield needs to be cleaned of nuclear contaminats for reasons that in the fence are military families. Well as I have been arguing that the truckers here in Waianae are the low bidders for removal of soil chemical contaminats. The sad part of this whole process is the fact that the truckers are unaware of the soil contents. They by pass the Waimanalo dump and bring these contaminats home to their families and our commumity. These low bidders need the income to pay for their high interest loans and have no understanding as to what they are doing to their own selves as well as their families. I know I am being redundante, but I just wanted to make my point about truckers, economics, and the lacking in saftey and training for nuclear contaminats transfer to other communities outside fo the fence.

The fake state are in support of back yard land fills, the city gives them open permitts and family members are sick. Right at this time because of the apology bill and the Akaka bill both are in support of this atrocities the despora of depleted uranium under 5(f) sec. e since the admissions act. It is argued that only the President can do something in Hawaii about the military usage of the Hawaiian islands. The process of meeting with citizens that have been inundated with dust contaminats when the plume disperses to families needs to be addressed. Kaohi
