We hopped a plane to Maui recently because we’d heard about a place that sounded too good to be true. When we got there we weren’t disappointed.

Kahakuloa valley is a place of astonishing beauty that few ever get to see.

But Oliver Dukelow is just as amazing as the place where he lives.

To say he’s just a taro farmer doesn’t even begin to describe what we saw because not only his house, but also his entire farming operation is off the grid.

Cell phone signal? Forget it.

But modern day conveniences are quickly forgotten amongst the jaw-dropping beauty of this valley and Oliver’s dedication to painstakingly re-creating the natural ways of life of ancient, pre-contact Hawai`i.

We could go on and on, but words fail to describe. You’ll just have to see for yourself in our brand new episode this week on Hawai`i’s award winning
Voices Of Truth – One-On-One With Hawai`i’s Future.

“The Natural Things – A Visit with Oliver Dukelow"

Oliver Dukelow has done lots of things in his lifetime, but none so satisfying as growing taro. It’s where he grows it that took our breath away – amidst the stunning beauty of Maui’s Kahakuloa valley. He’s doing it off the grid, with no modern power or electricity, the same way it was done for thousands of years in old Hawai`i. Join us in our amazing visit with Oliver & discover a place & way of life you won’t soon forgetWatch It Here
