When I first met the Danner sisters I knew we were in big trouble. It was my group members that gave her an in to our community, Leina Hoohuli. I then flew to Kauai after, I told the few members on Oahu to reject the similar model that the 'oil' companies did to the Alaskian natives. As I said I flew to Kauai and attended their Kauai meeting. Sondra and Michale Grace was in attendants.

I also flew to Alaska and had a lot of talk stories with their native people and their Chiefs. Juno, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Denali are some of the places I visited. William Ka'aina a Hawaiian came here in the 80s and we met at a Native Hawaiian meeting up at Kamehameha Schools. Bill came to stay with me in 1984 and both he and I went to meetings. Mrs. Padeken, Winona Rubin, Hoaliku Drake, Haunani Apoliona, and Mama Loa, Julie Cachola was some of the people that Bill talked to and warned them about going ahead with their corporation schemas and without the land titles in place. In other words we needed a office for native land titles to claim our rightful ownership of land. That is what the native people of Alaska did to stave off the corporations. Bill is well known through out Alaska.

There was a lot of wet behind the ears-lazy Alaskian people too, in favor of the corporations. The US oil and 'State' gave the people a choice in their new Reorganization for free oil monies. Did you know that the corporations had to give up their inherit rights (no successorships) no future? It was scary times, 1984. I did raise this concern at both meetings that I had with the Danner sisters. This gets to be tiring after a while.

The switch from rehabilitation to reorganization should this problem go forward will leave behind all Na Kanaka in the dusty trail. What will go forward are the 1920 act to rehabilitate veterans of the armed forces. The funding to Hawaii will be strickly for military procurements such as the 8(a) Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC., National Security/FEMA extended entity.
