  • Kalani,

Here is the argument on the last night of the 1978 con con. We the loosers of 50% plus bloodquantum DHHL lessee and to be lessees lost the definition of Native Hawaiian to OHA. We than switched from Hoala Kanawai to Ka Lahui which included two definition one of 50% and the other were our successorship. We were discussing the possibility of loosing our homes because of the 1978 con con. So, I/we spent years replanting the law of 50% bloodquantum and the successorship. We lost the successorship when it continued quantitatively in congress. It made us even more of an animal stock. There is tremendous humuliation in this way of life for native Hawaiians.

Native Hawaiians (Waianae, Nanakuli, Waimanalo and Papakolea) gathered on the floor in my living room the last night of the 1978 con con and we discussed the bloodquantum and the strategies one being that each family control their own genealogy. Having said that, they control their successorship. We don't have that today and that is the problem.

Another problem is that UH created large holes in their thesis and I really don't know how to close them from John Wise to the Apology to Akaka Bill. Linda and Bennet knows that they need to control the successor not the 50% bloodquantum. Providing that they give the corporate World Order the control of native population as in birth and death, they should win at the fake state level. Too many craters in the definition and it's framework argument between the amendment of the organic act, apology and akaka bill. Regardless, it was impossible to educate the native communities and UH students.

I had/have $45,000 student loans and I am a leasee on Hawaiian Homelands. UH Manoa policy that all native Hawaiians with 50% plus bloodquantum were to receive tuition waivers. This is so laughable! Can you imagine if Hawaiian Homesteaders had their universtiy degrees as oppose to the highest drop out rate? Or, how about the highest teen suicide on homestead? The disgust is programs make millions off our sick stats for me that is the real argument. I don't know how to reverse this problem. All that we can do is survive the swirl of arguments around our homestead and within other communities. Kaohi
