  • I did share both poems with my students and they did a wonderful job with words or having similar meaning.  We also did a photo observation to sharpen their description skills to express what they are observing.  Partly, creative and lots of humanity in this process.  Fortunately, I have the resources to share that comes from real experiences, such as the original rose bush that Don Marin brought to Hawaii in the 1800s that graces Maunawili.  And each morning upon waking up my eyes sets on Mt Ka'ala.  So in my aloha and to honor Liliu and Puku'i I'm able to share these experiences with my students.  Hopefully, next year I will be able to share her Sept 2 letter, and her birthday list.
  • Mrs Luwella KAOHI Leonardi, QUEEN of the LuLu BELLS!

All it takes is ONE LuLu BELL to Eat the FAT off of the American Table of Plenty HEWA!

  • As long as there are Teacher like Mrs Luwella KAOHI Leonardi teaching our young people in the Waianae Coast, there no hope for many of the young people of the Waianae Coast!

  • KUE Aberbrombie, KAOHI and their LuLu BELLS and Snakes!
  • I will comparing Aloha Oe and Mt Kaala on that day in rememberance of her birthday this Friday.  I will also share her relationship with 'thou sweet rose of Maunawili' in hopes that some of that can be preserved in the lives of our young people.
