The header color looks good. It matches the background color and it is indeed easy on the eys. If anything, the main page is just a bit cluttered. Perhaps a reduction in the amount of content displayed per section and the arrangement of different sections on the main page. The tabs could also be reduced. I believe Ning allows Sub-Tabs where multiple tabs can be put under a single tab. To reveal the sub-tabs, the visitor simply hovers their mouse over the tab containing the sub-tabs. All of the above could help the website be a bit more organized and easier for everyone (i.e. Young and OLD Folks).
