In a current-millenium reprise of a classic portrait that I use for my Maoliworld profile thumbnail, I sit under a large native lobelia for a green 'fro or papale. This time, way up in the West Maui Mountains. The plant is Hāhā`aiakamanu, the Hāhā eaten by birds, the tubular flowers of the plant offer nectar to native honeycreepers.
