    The Pohaku is so very dense that I have only found diamond tooling to be the only way to go to manipulate it. The Pohaku polishes up beautifully. This type of Basalt is only found here on the Big Island , Mauna Kea. I go once a year.

    What kind of tools do you use to shape the pohaku?
