Baby Ikaika

I was going to re-name him Ikaika. As in Ikaika. When I was a little girl I have always liked that word irrelevant if it's a popular name or not LOLHe is one of the many oiwi babies I was going to adopt/hanai. I won't mention his real name out of respect for HIM but I had big plans for him.He would have been safe. No drugs. No drinking. A huge home. I would have paid for his college. Everything would have been taken care of for him.His father was a jailbird. His mother was a druggie. He was going to live in a stable, secure, and safe environment. He was going to be IKAIKA. I even stepped aside to his great grandmother so that she could be closer to him and he close to her just like I was close to my Hilo Grandma.Unfortunately some people only cared about themselves instead of what was best for him. Three years later, the "state" of Hawai'i awarded custody to a military family and not to his great grandmother. Based on their decisions chances are he will be raised on the continental U.S. and they will NEVER see him again. Thanks for not listening to me. He would have stayed with them regularly if they let me take him with me to Florida. With me he would spend summers with them. They would always be able to see him. With me he would always know them and they would KNOW him. Thanks selfish assholes of this world! They will never see him again and they know who they are....Anyway I know some people feel bad for me. Don't. I have a GREAT life. Feel bad for kids like Baby Ikaika because some people thought about what's best for themselves instead of what is best for children like him. I despise assholes like that. As in... selfish assholes! Hope they feel good about themselves now.
