At the 2003 'Awa Festival, my wife Sheri Kamakahala, my younger son Ethan Kealahooheno, myself, and Kumu Lake. His lei kukui was made by Hawaiian botany students who were part of the support infrastructure for this event, and who wanted to honor Kumu with a symbol of enlightenment.
