  By the way, for you and "aukai' I have corrected the posting of the video Maka o Hule; which should be instead Huli and cross referencing it to my grand aunt Marie Solomon's storytelling on "how the locals" view the heiau there at Mahukona. Figured I would connect the dots for you both as you're making so much "stink" about it.

  I decided not to approve you on my comments because of your disrespect. You have an attitude so I'll leave it as that and you can delete this if you want. Who cares if you are pure blood, does that make you a better person or just have a big pohaku on your shoulders? Maybe that's why you have no name.
  
  You just don't know who I am so I will leave it at that. "We" I refer to is the community of Kohala. You don't know of me, what my family has done for Kohala and you are a "noname" by choice. I have respect to say who I am but you don't and you are new here to Maoliworld.
  
  My family was birth here, my family were legal counselors to Kamehameha I so we were here before your so called "noname" family was ever here in Kohala. This just goes to should that no matter how much KOKO one has you just don't know your history - that's important when you're working on land here in Kohala. You know papa Akau down in Kawaihae? He's not well right now but he can tell you of my 'ohana for he is on my board as was Aunty Marie.
  
  So no matter your words I know who I am and what I stand for in my community. You don't know anything but to spit out hate...Do that for that shows how you protray your own 'ohana "YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR GIFTS"...smile. Saying what is obvious.

  MAHUKONA COURT 08/31/09 UPDATE: The judge was fascinating to watch in her questioning. In short, she asked for both sides to submit arguments (Findings of Facts and Conclusions of Law) outlining their take on : 1). Standing (whether KAKO'O and Maikai'i do or do not have standing;
  2). Jurisdiction (whether the Board of Appeals had the authority to rule as they did - they don't; they only have the authority to review and uphold or over tturn Planning Director decisions); and 3). the 45 day window the Planning Director has to act on preliminary subdivision applications.
  
  The judge disallowed the some of the most critical parts of the case because there was no previous record (no one from Maika'i or KAKO'O testified about the critical archeological, Hawaiian, or environmental issues). Now we all know that this sucks since KAKO'O and the community were told they should not testify but provide public comment in November... now why all the politics we want PONO?
  
  After the court hearing, KPCT rep aka: Kohala Surety wanted to "kukakuka" so our VP who is respected Kupuna Fred Cachola is meeting with him tomorrow in Kohala 09/11/09. We are open to discussion without the presence of attorneys and see what this is all about. We have a few options of proposals beut it all depends on how the discussion and what this discussion is about as called for "alone". If anything I would like to see a Conservation Sale on Mahukona. Makali'i and KHCC can do what is protocol we're concerned about the lay of the land and all the other archaeological sites which are not documented by KPCT aside from their illegal permits to build in that area without public input and disregarding old agreements from prior court cases from 30 year ago up to now. JUST THOUGHT YOU SHOULD NO...bruddah ignorance? You just don't know who I am and what I do for Kohala. Patty Ann Solomon's dad is my father's mother's half brother and as for Makalili, my 2st cousin is the Pa'alua's. Uncle Sonny Pa'alua's wife is a Naihe. Aunty Marie Solomon (Patty Ann's mom) told me I had to speak up and come out to tell who I am and time for me to do things....that was since 1992. remember now Auntie Marie was on my board of directors before she passed away - I'm in this litigation with KPCT for reasons of protecting ALL of Mahukona and the entire coastline. PAO'O aka: Secrets? I'm sure you've been there, I was in a contested case against the developer from 2006 and they withdrew their permit to built-we're looking into conservation sale.....we koko should have more reason to be on the land...I'm married to a 2/3 native american so waht my legal surname of Naihe Laxton you think I'm a haole? LOL I'm born and raised Kohala NAIHE. By the way you talk to me, you just don't know me at all and what I do for NORTH KOHALA. You live on the South you don't know what goes on in our town so be respectful, it's not your territory if you haven't known our 40 year fight on Makuona and other coastal lands. So I forgive you for "you do knot know what you do" in how you address me. Malama Pono!

  have a case pending regarding Mahukona. It's ongoing for over 30 years. KHCC? I hope they are informed. KHCC was to be contact before any development in that area. I notified KHCC personally of the old court case that was not respecting KHCC's rights. The former president of KHCC who was initially part of this was a cousin of mine. I am not renaming the place. Marie Solomon's husband (yes Patty Ann's mother) was my father's mother's half brother. What I do in regards to Mahukona, Aunty Marie was a board of director on my nonprofit I continue to do what she say I need to do and Patty Ann is also aware. What Makali'i is doing down there has nothing to do with what the 30 year battle has been for that area. So don't tell me I have no knowledge of the area when I have direct ties to it before you were ever involved. Also I have relatives involved with Makali'i. What they do and I do are two separate issues that do not disrespect anything Hawaiian. Makali'i and what they do in their protocols is separate from the land issues involved in that area. Papa Akau has been involved as well to protecting Mahukona. So those meetings having nothing to do with the illegal permits that the County of Hawaii has been doing with Kohala Surety. We are protecting the area in its entirety. No need challenge me, you just need over 30 years of history on the legal issues down there. PAU!

  I enjoyed your comment on "da kine's" blog. She should get her facts (or, at least the names) straight instead of making things up and guessing; it's very disrespectful of her to question the work of our elders, especially when she was never there in the first place. This is the kuleana of Makali'i, not a wannabe.
