Do you have the book on her by Marjorie Sinclair? Besides that, I have (somewhere) a name chant for Nahienaena, which may be in the book as well - let me know if you want me to look for that...
yeah, i'm in the far off land of california right now. i LOVE school, but i hate being away from home. i can't wait to finish. i'm hoping to go to grad school, but i'm not sure what i want to go into. if i choose hawaiian language, i'll be at manoa, but if i choose classical languages i'm thinking about england.
check hawaiiankindom.org and google Hawaiian Journal of Law and Politics for soem good primary sources. It's true that it hasn't been 'proven' conclusively - the admittance of the delegation representing the Kingdom is evidence of the validity of the argument, but not necessarily definitive proof - that is only seen in the logical and legal analysis... I do have an interesting quote from US Dept of justice that I'll forward to you. Anyway I'm glad you're researching this yourself instead of just taking my word for it - I still tel students 'don't believe me!'

She and I have back to back articles in Hulili journal volume 2 (2005) - check it out (you should always read what your profs publish) Haven't met her though...And good luck with publishing your article - sounds like its beyond me! Anytime you need a tip, let me know - I just helped a grad from last year yesterday

I thought you looked familiar! Mahalo for letting me know about your studies, it's one of the most gratifying thing about teaching - what students do after they're gone! When is your presentation? It's hard for me to get to things (we had another kids since you were in my class:~)...
do you have Kerry Inglis as a teacher?
let me know how things go...
