  • Aloha Natalee Kehaulanj:

I made a typo in an earlier comment.  Your great-grandmother Ellen Kamehaiku Nahina-Pu'ulei and her brothers moved to Kaua'i and started their families there.  (Senior moments.  LOL...)  I hope your 2013 will be happy and successful in your endeavors.   I saw Keanela and your father at my mother's 90th birthday celebration weekend of November 30th.  Too bad you weren't there, you'd have a great time.  Malama pono.

    Love,

Uncle Tane (David Michael Kaipolaua'eokekuahiwi Inciong, II)

  • My sister's youngest son is at USF Medical center, David Ka'aiali'i Orth.  He's on Facebook.  My other sister's daughter is at Mt Sinai, Poki'i Balaz.  She's also on facebook.  Touch bases with them.  Let them know you're Bruce's daughter; they are your cousins, too.  Let us know when you are in Hawaii we'd love to meet you after all these years.

    Uncle Tane

  • Natalee, it's uncanny that your photo reminds me of Keanela; from what I can see, you both look alike.  LOL....

  • Aloha Natalee:

What kind of document form are you referring to?  I have the genealogy written out and did post it in the genealogy group on maoliworld.  I knew my great-grandmother, Kamehaiku,  personally and all her children except one.  Kamehaiku Nahina was born on Napili, Maui and later, she and her two brothers moved to Maui while her two older sisters remained on Maui.  She married Mihilani (Miliahilani) Pu'ulei when they were 19 yrs old in 1897.  They had a daughter, Ellen and two sons, Luther Ambrose K. and Edward L.; the daughter died after giving birth to a baby boy who also died a year after her.  Tutu Kamehaiku later married Edward Alapai and had Martha, Edward, Jr., and Joseph Alapai; all I personally knew except Ellen Puulei.  My Mom was named after my granddad's sister.  I do have genealogies that go back further for the Nahina/Nalepo lines and the Pu'ulei/Kaianui lines.  Again, check the genealogy group which I have listed the genealogies.

  • Aloha Natalee:  I believe Bruce Watkins is your father and Debbie is your mom.  Luther was my grandfather, too!  I think I remember you when you were a little child; before your mom took you children away from us.  It's nice to touch bases again, now that you're all grown up.

    Uncle Tane
