  • Aloha kakou,

I just was doing a routine search on ohana names and came across this page, SOOO MAIKAʻI!  To date I have only been able to go back 2 generations before Kaukaliʻinea (hopefully I will be able to trace back farther one day soon) and am excited to find more ʻohana on here.  My line comes from Kaukaliʻinea - Paiwa Kaukaliʻinea - Moses Lilinoe - Kumakahiwa Lilinoe - Moses Lilinoe Huihui - Susan Awapuhi Huihui - ME.

If any of you have facebook thats the easiest way to contact me.  Looking forward to meeting more ʻohana.

  • Aloha Joy,

You don't know me yet...I'm a distant cousin from the Kupono-Kaukaliinea-Kaholi lines.

I read your letter regarding Kupono etc. and was interested to find out if you are a Kupono, Kaukali'inea or another name?  Please write to me at: "kawehi11@yahoo.com" I would like to compare notes.

    Mahalo,

    Kawehi Kanui

  • Hi Joy,
I can send you the Kupono Genealogy if you want. Kupono and Nakuaihaaweawe of Kalaoa , N. Kona was the parents of Kaiama, a son, which is your line. My line is of Kaiama's bro. Kanehailua Kupono, and Jr. Kanuha is of the next line, another brother, Kaukaliinea Kupono, this is the line with the largest descendants of info we have on hand. The Kanuha Reunion will be held in November on the 11th to the 14th. this year in Kailua, Kona. Shall I see you there? Keep checking the OHA paper on the Hoohui Ohana listing. Glad to be of help Joy. Take care. NT Flo

  • E welina mai nei e Joy, mahalo for connecting. I descend from your Kaiama's brother's line. His name is Kanehailua. The sons of KUPONO and NAKUAIHAAWEAWE (w) of Kalaoa, N. Kona, Hawaii.I was born and raised in N. Kona and I would be glad to share what we have on hand. Cousin Jr. Kanuha usually gives out their info to those who are present at the reunion - first, and it's a natural to also share your info at the same time to be able to add on yours right away. We do have lots of info of the Kona people. Where do u live? Maybe we should have a gathering for your line one day...I think we deserve one don't you? I'm excited. I shared some with cousin Jeff Renaud, wonderful baby dat guy, so maika'i.Do u have Facebook? I am also on that and sometimes we share mana'o and genealogy. My email is ntchalyk@gmail.com. Do keep the connection, thank you sooo much for connecting...much aloha my ohana...nt Flo
