Lovell Ohana... Mana'o e 'olu'olu

Aloha kakou

I recently ran into some records that I found from my late grandmother who was a Lovell/Kealoha, within these records I found names such as Hanamaika'i who I beilieve was here sister or aunty.

 

My understanding is that all the Lovells are related rooted in Kauai, any and all mana'o would be greatly appreciated.

    Here's the response from Buttons Lovell:

    Aloha Kehau,

    More than happy to share. He is right though, all of the Lovells are kinda rooted all in Kauai including the two in Hilo, Billy & Dicky Lovell. This information is from Uncle Jim an old Kupuna on Kauai. The kicker is that their ancestor came from the eastern U.S. on a ship and jumped off in Kauai. He noted that his Lovell ancestor was Cherokee.

    I have a good friend who lives in Waimea on the Big Island who is a Lovell.  I'll send him an email and see if he wants to join and share with you what ohana he is with.
