Welcome to everyone who has joined

Aloha kakou, The idea behind this group is to put a wonderfully adaptable healing method into the hands of "the people," free of charge. I am a newly certified hypnotherapist in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I have learned so much about hypnosis and hypnotherapy already! You can use these trance states for pain management, to support and encourage healing, to create relaxation, to diminish stress, to get rid of anxiety over taking tests, to end habits and addictions, use for weight loss, and also for getting in touch with your own barriers to whatever it is you want to do or become. It is important to know that if you are in trance, you still are conscious, you still have full control. The form of hypnosis I learned has a lot of relationship and dialogue with the person being hypnotized, so it is not authoritarian at all (like old movie hypnotists dangling watches in front of people!). Think of all the people without good access to health or mental health care, who could use this in your community. I want to freely share how to do this with you, so you can then freely share it with others! You can also do self-hypnosis for your own concerns, and this is effective too! That's the idea here. Sharing this so everyone who wants to feels better, happier, more 'olu'olu. That there is a word for trance in 'olelo Hawai'i says to me that it was used in some way by na poe kahiko - perhaps part of a healing process? Or perhaps in other ways? I don't know, and it would be wonderful to hear from anyone with information about this. So, again welcome and please ask questions. I'll begin posting "formal" instruction, but that's to make it convenient and accessible to all who join, no matter when. You'll be able to access the material at any time, because it will all be here in our group, in Maoli World. Malama pono, Amy

  • Again, more welcomes, and kala mai for not posting more. I'm still learning myself and I guess I'm trying to figure out the best way to do things.
  • Mahalo nui Amy! This is such a nice and wonderful thing you are doing. I look forward to using this in helping me better my health this year.

    Aloha!
    • Thanks, Kamea!
I hope this becomes a good experience for a lot of people, and that we can have fun with it as well as good results!
