Kaohi: Dwight's Cross was removed sensing something is wrong I stopped to speak to the houseless in Waianae

On my way home from work, I always look to the side of the road for Dwight's cross that was placed where he hung himself.  Sensing something is wrong, because I couldn't see the cross--I turned my car around to check to see if maybe the grass grew around it.  I stopped a houseless friend to ask questions, he said to go a talk to Rose because the HPD was using vicious attack modes on the houseless.  Taking a knife and slicing their tents, giving out tickets, yelling out horrible things to them and swearing a lot. 

 

So I stopped to visit Rose and a friend of mine Tony was lying on the side of the road for he has a broken back. He was lying on the side of the road unable to move.  As I talked to Rose she said she's going to hang herself and pointed to a nearby tree.  And as I talked to Tony and his wife, I learned that the camp near the garbage dump up the road was recently cited and evicted.  I left Tony on the side of the road with a broken back.  He is a Veteran of Wars too and a blackman with a huge heart and soul. 

 

So I went the site to talk to my friend Adam, he confirmed that Francis was sighted for giving care to the homeless.  this camp site is near the Waianae Refuse Convenience lot.  Between rain, illness, and humuliation f having to move again from a stinky garbage dump area- treated as if they were less than the garbage, their spirits are extremely low.  I should see many deaths occur in Waianae.  The van from the morgue should find a permanent parking space somewhere in Waianae since it's going to make a lot of scoop and runs. 

 

The eviction notices are going out for the Waianae Harbor and Keaau’s soon announcing the March 6, 2011 day of eviction.  From now until then, Waianae will come to know many suicides.  These deaths will not be news worthy, therefore, one would not know about these losses through a main stream media. 

 

I have lots of Na Kanaka on the side of the road that are desperate and have no money to pay for their rent.  Most that I have talked to can speak for others for they are family type camps.  From my observation too many of them are too sick to move to another unknown spot.  This is maybe the last places for them to be at for there are no other places they can move to.  What I am hearing from their mouths is suicide and easier exist to another home one that is more permanent--heaven!

 

After HPD removed Dwight's Cross, it seems to me everybody lost hope. Including myself for he kept my spirits up in believing that I can help the homeless.  I have no answers!

 

So I will be checking these houseless camps after work in hopes they could or something could venture their way.

    These people who you talk too can get free buspass at Word of life, and also at the waianae coast comprehensive, call to set an appt for them , also if they want to come to church , ask them to for me thank you Kahoi, I am thankful some one took the position , to help them . Also One more thing  most of these people has case workers , they can go ahead and talk to their case workers for help too. call hale naau pono at 6964212. ask for the number of access hot line it is for people who wants to commit suicide. For rent help call 8424242 or salvation army. i am sure these  rescources will help them. Those people do not have to go through this they can go to legal aid too they offer help for Social security help. Please ask your friends to use the resources , i have given it helped me when i was out there too JESUS AND ALSO OTHERS . The one step is the next step top independence , if they have no where to go,  Tell them jesus is the only way out. He is the only one that helped me through all my struggles and tell them i am praying for them and godbless them all. Tina Botelho

        The lord told me he will gather his sheeps and he will guide them in the promise land if they will only obey him and hear his words , and then through obedience he will help them go and tell them this.

    Mahalo Amelia and Kaohi:

    It pains me to read the account relayed by Kaohi. I support you putting the State on notice. The other fact is Kanawai Mamalahoa which is the oldest law of the Hawaiian Kingdom besides amnesty of the defeated in the unification under Kamehameha the Great. We were raised with that law and respected it throughout the years. U.S. Americans do not acknowledge that law in Hawai'i since its unlawful belligerent occupation. I find this a travesty and an assault on Hawai'i's residents. It would behoove Ambercrombie to follow our Kingdom's law and protect the houseless/homeless people. The U.S. should find other alternatives to this molestation of our people by sticking to the guidelines established by the international law of occupation and respect the Hawaiian Kingdom laws. This is more reason for the U.S. to de-occupy the Hawaiian Kingdom.

      I totally agree, de-occupy the Hawaiian Kingdom.  I told Rose should she still be alive next Monday, that she needs to tell the judge that she is of the Hawaiian Kingdom.  She said she will.  Love you

    As crazy as this may sound I've had the stick that Dwight hung himself from in the back of my truck ever since.  And David Ma did take pictures of the erected tent a few hours after the ambulance took him to the comprehensive center.  According to Tony-- Dwight was alive when he was in the ambulance, but he died on the way.  Dwight wrote on the stick Ocean Boulevard.
