Aloha Kakou.

Oral histories of an Island People will be presented by Warren Nishimoto and Friends. The program includes "Hanai Granddaughter," Martina Kekuewa Fuentevilla's account of a Native Hawaiian lifestyle in early 20th-century Kona.

She was born in Honaunau, Moku O Keawe, in 1908, and was hanai granddaughter to the Ma'inui 'ohana. Her interviews were conducted in ka 'olelo Hawai'i with scholar Larry L. Kimura.
