Free presentation by Dr. Sam ʻOhukaniʻōhiʻa Gon III and Hālau Mele on the Hawaiian Seasons, and the special day (May 2 in todayʻs reckoning) when the sun sets into a particular crater of the Waiʻanae Mountains, when seen from the site of the astronomical heiau Kūpalaha in Waikīkī. Come for stories, Hawaiian chant, and hula, and learn a short chant for the setting sun, that we will all offer on this special day.

    will be attending in spirit...sounds awesome!!...come to PHX an do stuff too!! i've been out of the loop since edwin died and need to get back to putting a fire under people's you know what's here in the valley of the desert!!
