ONIPA‘A: A Birthday Celebration for Queen Lili'uokalaniSunday, September 5, 2010'Iolani Palace10am - 4pmA day of Hula, Mele and Pule honoring Hawai'i's last reigning monarch, Queen Liliuokalani.Free admission to the 'Iolani Palace.Sponsored by the Hawai'i Pono'i Coalition. Formed to educate those who live in and visit the island about Hawai'i's true history, the Native Hawaiian people and the culture that makes Hawaii a place like no other.For more information, call tel. 808.224.8068HIAA and KLMA H.C.C. will be meeting at 8 am at the Palace to lay out the Ku`e Name Signs, for those who would like to kokua.At 2 pm, there will be a re-enactment (KaLei Maile Alii - The Queen's Women) at the Kanaina Building, with Keanu Sai providing historic background before the re-enactment. Come on down, it's Free Parking on the street.
