National elections are held every four years to elect the prime minister as well as nobles and representatives for each island district. The elections are free from the influence and control of the U.S. Government, the State of Hawaii and County governments, and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA).

Every kanaka maoli is eligible to vote. Non-Hawaiians must become nationalized citizens of the Kingdom of Hawaii in order to vote. For voting locations, to register to vote, or to apply for citizenship, please call your island contact:
