Learn about the unique varieties and extraordinary significance of taro with Taro Farmer, Hōkūao Pellegrino! In partnership with the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority; Maui Nui Botanical Gardens will host a workshop entitled Kalo: through the Eyes of a Hawaiian to be held on Saturday, June 4th, from 10am to 12pm. Try your hand at pounding poi and taste it fresh from the Gardens! Reservations required and a workshop fee applies. Call 249-2798 or email info@mnbg.org for details.
