On Friday, May 7, 2010, anyone interested in acquiring rare Hawaiian varieties of taro will have an opportunity to do so at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens. Sale starts at 12:00 noon and ends at 5:00 pm. Over 60 varieties of taro from family groups of Mana, Piko, Kai, Lauloa, ‘Ele’ele, ‘Ula’ula and Manini available. The Gardens won’t have these varieties available for sale until next year, so get them now! Grow your own food to save money, and have your taro questions answered.
